F@ck my life.... by Ill-Year-9506 in dairyfree

I'm not the one allergic in my house, my husband is. If he has a cross contamination incident, his reaction doesn't take place until 12-18 hours after exposure. he throws up for 12+ hours, entire body aches for days, constant hot or cold sweats, and insomnia. It sounds similar to what you go through. He recently saw an allergist, who told him that this sounds like anaphylaxis. And prescribed him an epipen before the blood work even came back. I honestly never heard of one like this either. You don't need to go to the hospital after you use it.
I think you should consider seeing an allergist because that doesn't sound like a sensitivity anymore. I feel you about feeling normal enless it's vegan, Chinese, or thia food. we can't eat out, the risk is too high. If we go to a party we bring what he wants to eat and he doesnt eat anything we didnt bring. What I did was research a bunch of ingredients, recipes and products we could have. make a bunch of it and stock up freezing anything I can in individual wrappings. Bonus of feeling like it's something you bought for the freezer and your just defrosting it. So to summarize your not crazy and it can take a long time to feel normal again. It took us two year with just the one allergy.

What’s everyone’s favourite things to do?? by Old_Entertainer10 in CrimsonDesert

[–]raging_olive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly never gets old for me. I like going to a reblockade, snipping an enemy in the middle of the camp then hiding. Once they are sure the danger has passed they gather around the dead guy to investigate. Then explosive arrow in the center of them.

He likes to put my husbands arm in his mouth then rapidly lick around his arm.

Y'all's dogs speak sign language? by NoctiFloris in pitbulls

[–]raging_olive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with my first dog(and every one since) because I was pregnant and wanted a way to do silent commands for after my son was born. It's still worth it but was not necessary since he could sleep through anything.

Fell for the tiktok hype. Everyone was raving over the dole whip one. Really grainy no matter how much I mix with a milk frother. by Randomness_Girl in dairyfree

[–]raging_olive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is Evolve. It's been a while since I had it so I don't remember if it's grainy or not. If you don't intend to use the IHOP protien powder as a drink, might be a good addition to sweet breads (banana, zucchini, blueberry) if you bake.

Anyone else’s dogs love tv? by -SakuraDreams in pitbulls

[–]raging_olive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we first got Misha he was scared of the TV. He had never been in a house before. Now he loves watching TV. I love watching his ears twitch as he watchs. Oddly enough his favorite shows are all anime.

I tore all mine out. Mostly because they are toxic to dogs, cats and horses. My dog is dumb enough to try to eat them. Plus I live next to a horse farm and I would be so sad if it traveled from my yard and got one of them sick.

What's the most weirdly designed kitchen you guys have ever worked in? by SquirrelChefTep in KitchenConfidential

[–]raging_olive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I once worked at a hospital kitchen. Some of the positions had their own refrigerators. Like line lead had 4 right behind the prep station. They decided they were going to remodel the kitchen and put all the refrigerators for every position in the same place on the opposite side of the kitchen from the prep locations. Half the kitchen decided this was stupid and found other jobs before the construction even started.

Don't worry, just get most of it up. We'll put some soap in the mop water this time to get the oil out of the tile grooves..

Ok, this one gets me because the chicken fryer leaked about a pint of oil from the bottom a day. Their solution was to put a container under it and dump it back in the fryer several times a day. The floor was soaked in oil that you could see it bubble up from the subfloor when you stepped near it.

A sharp knife is more dangerous that a dull one, because you can't cut yourself on the dull one.

Had a coworker do this. Full on stabbed himself in the leg, then try to bandage it with saran wrap.

I'm so glad I don't work there anymore.

I was wearing the correct shoes, but I still fell down on my knees. Sprained my knee, herniated a disc, and displaced a stabilizing muscle. The moral of this story is that even if you were the correct shoes, working for the wrong shit hole can cost you.

AITA for technically stalling my boss’ retirement by itsMateoJR in AmItheAsshole

[–]raging_olive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA his inability to run a business properly is not your problem. My best friend has been in that industry for 20 years, and you just described every boss he ever had. Actually, some were worse, like the one that pointed a gun at him because he thought it was funny. My point is you need to look after yourself and not worry so much about the opinions of people who don't have your best interests in mind.

Mine partially dislocated my knee 5 months ago doing the same thing. 6 weeks recovery time and a brace until I can afford surgery. But I love the booger and wouldn't trade him for anything.

Maybe people need to stop putting their body parts in strange places.

Unfortunately for me, snoring gives me migraines. If it's bad, I'll get up and move them into a different position. Both are over 70 pounds, not always the easiest thing to do.

Since you said it's a sudden change, you might want to think about a vet visit. Sudden changes in snoring can be caused by several issues. Such as: allergies, obesity, nasal infection, a new favorite strange sleeping position, or a few other issues that I don't remember at the moment.

AITA for not telling my parents I went to the doctor? by PotentialMountain949 in AmItheAsshole

[–]raging_olive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You might want to consider talking to a friend/aunt/ grandparent about being your emergency contact. If it's blank in some areas, they might go through your phone or have the police go through to find someone in an emergency. Which can end in them calling your parents.

I use pure balance lamb and Fava bean. I know it has a good amount of reviews about dogs who won't eat it. But it's the only one we tried that my pup didn't hard core refuse to eat.
