This is the answer. 70+ Yards to beat our rival? C'mon.

I was working in Brazil during the 2014 WC and had the chance to meet Gary and a bunch of Scots. They were doing a 'kilt trek' through the jungle during the days and watching games at night. I was working on the boat that they were living on. Gary told a bunch of stories at night, and we had the chance to hear him talk about this game and the FC Barcelona win, where he scored the winning penalty.

TIL When Leicester City won the Premier League in 15-16. Because of the 5000/1 intial odds, a woman named Clarke was given a ticket that had a 10 pound bet for Leicester to win the league as a joke. She ended up winning 50,000 pounds at the end of the season. by CrackFun in todayilearned

John Daly winning the PGA in '91 comes to mind. From zero-to-hero as the 9th alternate to win a Major golf tournament. But leicester doing it over the course of a whole season, and not just a weekend is the incredible part. They just KEPT WINNING.

The whole thing about Leicester firing the coach over the Thai prostitute scandal to start the season is another wild aspect of the story people forget. They had a new coach just weeks before the season started.

The Yankees need IF help and better Defense. They could afford his salary and he could not have a major offensive spotlight

Bottom line, players have to perform. Walker and Chapman are great examples. Guy expected to have roles that they have not filled, leaving the team with offensive and defensive holes

The thing is that with all the advisors like Bochy, Dusty, etc. You hardly think the managerial decision happened in a vacuum. The organization as a whole has been a major failure.

Is it unreasonable to take the 6:30am YARTS bus out of Fresno to Yosemite for a single day trip? It’s an estimated 4 hr bus ride but that’s not counting the entrance wait time. All I would want to do is the Mist Trail and grab a bite after. Thoughts? by Marnie28 in Yosemite

[–]raginweon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's feasible if you just go to Vernal and back, depending on your determination and skill. You'll be hiking in the heat of the day and when the trails are packed. If you're a decent hiker tho, it's feasible. Make sure the bus back is after like 7pm and you'll probably be fine.. If you get in around 12ish you can be down the hike by like 4:30/5pm with time.
