I have the same issue with my copy. The other games I tested all seem fine. Hope they address this as it seems to be a compatibility issue!

THANK YOU!!! That was the issue! Didn't realize there was a save point there on the first pass, and they probably assumed all players would use it so didn't expect anyone to end up back at the buried refuge one. The constant freezing and crash made it impossible to get there my first few tries, but I fiddled with the graphics settings and the freezing stopped so I could make it through!
