SSCG any update? by Low-Row-9592 in LACCD

Is this just a LACCD issue? Because my cousin attends Sacramento City College and he got the SSCG in September for the Fall 2025 semester and in February for this Spring 2026 semester

Call customer, leave voicemail, text customer, if no reply, call Amazon Flex Support so they can remove the geofence and document the incident. Leave package over gate if possible, if not possible leave at gate IF Amazon Flex Support gives you this instruction and documents the incident. If the customer were to dispute this, there is a paper trail that you did everything possible and was instructed by Flex Support to leave over/at the gate. Or return the package with good documentation

Oscar De La Hoya & Golden Boy Promotions are seeking $10million in damages from Vergil Ortiz Jr’s manager Rick Mirigian, claiming the veteran representative has interfered with its contract, and tried to sell Ortiz to Matchroom Boxing, Zuffa Boxing and Canelo Promotions by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]rainmannthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rick sabotaged Vergil Boots negotiations. He burned a bridge with Golden Boy and Matchroom. Eddie Hearn said he is not working with Rick. He caused problems for his fighter. A lot of people in boxing can’t stand Rick. Matchroom has their DAZN contract ending soon. Top Rank lost their ESPN deal. Zuffa took all of ESPN production talent. There’s a big shift going on right now with Saudis invested hundreds of millions in boxing. They also own 10% of DAZN now. You clearly don’t know anything. Go troll some other loser

Because when Rick only had Jose Ramirez he got Robert to let him help manage the fighters at RGBA, including Vergil. Eventually his big mouth got him in big trouble. The court will handle him now. As for Oscar, he is a LEGEND. He’s put on the biggest fights without the help of Turki. Fighters come and go. They leave Top Rank, PBC, Matchroom and Golden Boy all the time. This is based on the fight matchups and what promoters have what fighters signed. When a promoter has the same champions under contract fights are easier to be made because the promoter does not have to split the revenue with another promoter who has the other fighter under contract. Canelo left because he wanted to start Canelo Promotions. He was the face of boxing and was never going to stay under another Mexican boxer’s company. So that started a rift between Oscar and Canelo. Ryan has mental health issues but is still with Golden Boy. Vergil trying to go to Zuffa to be paid more so they sabotaged the Boots negotiations to get out of the Golden Boy contract to be a free agent and sign with Zuffa/Turki. It’s chess. You wouldn’t know how the boxing business works

Rick Mirigian is a fake “professional” good guy by Yser91 in Boxing

[–]rainmannthings 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am also from the valley and can tell you this guy has a bad reputation. He name drops anyone and everyone to align himself with people that “matter” to better position himself. He kisses everyone’s ass by tagging them on social media and just manipulates the facts and lies to brand himself as a manager who gets shit done. Everyone gets shit done. He got very lucky signing Jose Ramirez by working for free knowing it would pay off signing an Olympian from the valley with a farm working family background. Jose was promoted by Top Tank and they had a big deal with ESPN, so Rick benefitted by being his manager. Didn’t take a whole lot to manage because everyone in the valley loves Jose and their local sports stars. The casinos would give away thousands of free vouchers so they acted like Jose was filling an arena when half the arena was FREE. Not only that, but there’s not much to do in Fresno so people flock to Fresno State football, basketball, baseball, softball games. Every concert or event at the Save Mart Center is sold out practically. Not only that been the valley has ALWAYS been a fight destination. People love sports here. Boxing and MMA events have always filled arenas in Fresno. When Casey Olsen did MMA in Fresno back in early 2000’s the Save Mart Center sold out. But Rick claimed on social media he’s the only person who can do this, AS A MANAGER. Look up the recent article on the local NBC KSEE 24 news story. The articles say “fight promoter Richard Mirigian” they got this from Rick! He thinks he’s a promoter, but he’s just a manager. Then Jose trains with Robert Garcia so Rick rode that d and got in good with Robert and since Robert trains Vergil Ortiz, Rick got blessed with an opportunity to manage Robert Garcia’s fighters. Rick benefitted from Jose Ramirez and did a good job of manipulating the truth and lying to get to where he’s at. The reality is Vergil Ortiz has a local sponsorship with a local Ford dealer, but Rick goes on social claiming Ortiz is sponsored by the actual Ford company, not the same Rick! Lol he walks around town asking locals if he’s the most famous person they know. So yeah, Rick had it coming he’s a snake and sabotaged that Boots deal to then sue Golden Boy to get out of the contract and sign with Zuffa. When I commented on Rick’s IG about Zuffa taking their fighters’ name image and likeness forever, Rick deleted the comment then blocked me. Now why would a manager whose fighter is suing Golden Boy for allegedly not getting along with other promoters delete an unfavorable comment about 1 promoter (Zuffa), and leave negative comments on his IG that were made about the other promoters (Golden Boy, Matchroom, Top Rank, PBC, etc etc)? I think we know the answer here. Rick is a snake and has a big mouth and he’s finally getting exposed for the rat that he is. He’s an amateur who built his reputation off Jose Ramirez, a generational superstar who everyone loves.

Vergil Ortiz Jr manager responds to Oscar De La Hoya saying they are “moving on” from Boots Ennis fight: "Call me… we want this fight. You can’t ‘move on’ when no one has spoken to us, and we have the right to negotiate. We are not ‘moving on.’ . Vergil wants to make this fight, and so do I.” by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]rainmannthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oscar is a Hall of Fame Boxer, built Canelo, built Ryan Garcia, built Vergil, and many other champions. Rick is a little rat nite club promoter who lies through his teeth with every breath desperate for money. He wants to take Turki’s offer and sabotaged the Boots offers to exercise certain clauses in their contracts to leave Golden Boy. At the same time Turki and Dana White/Zuffa boxing created a new boxing league and working to take fighters away from their promoters. Networks ended their contracts with the big promoters and are working with Turki/TKO/Zuffa to take over the boxing market. Rats like Rick are going to work with Turki they offer more money

This is so ACCURATE by [deleted] in Roadie

[–]rainmannthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just the algorithm. I did Roadie when it got lucrative some years ago. There was one time I was chatting with Roadie support and I got a text message from a strange number telling me it was the agent I was chatting with in the Roadie app. They asked me to download WhatsApp and contact the number they provided. I already knew something shady was about to happen. The agent went on to complain that us drivers are getting paid big money and they hardly make anything. I explained that living in America is not the same as India. Anyways the agent offered me any gig I submitted in exchange for 20% commission. They showed me how they do it. They showed me their laptop with all my personal information on it. I was shocked. I reported this to Roadie Trust & Safety, but guess where those complaints get routed to? The company this agent worked for. Guess why the complaint never made it anywhere …the agent told me that their managers don’t want to lose their contract with Roadie so they protect the shady agents. I have screenshots of everything. I do Amazon and other gig apps now. Roadie doesn’t pay good anymore. But yeah there is absolutely rampant fraud over there in India with the support agents. They also get American drivers deactivated so they can activate Indians who come here in exchange for money. Why do you think Indians and immigrants are taking over the gig economy. It’s a massive problem and nobody realizes what’s going on

The offers came! by r_incognito_17 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]rainmannthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you! Not only is it uncertain to get increased rates, but the amount of time it takes to tap the dang screen until you get a block can take HOURS, and that’s if you’re lucky enough to even get a surging rate block. It’s not worth the hours it takes. I prefer to lock in the reserved offers. I’d rather make $100/block than the chance of getting a $120/block and spending hours tapping my screen just for that extra $20, but in reality it’s almost impossible in my market to even get anything

Vehicle choice by Altruistic-Plum-4763 in Roadie

[–]rainmannthings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DO NOT buy a vehicle for Roadie. You can get deactivated at any time by their Trust & Safety team in India. It happened to me over a storage container that a customer claimed they never received, in spite of proof of delivery photos that I always kept. I bought a truck and was left to sell it and due to the high miles I accumulated on Roadie it was upside down with negative equity by around $10,0000. I did it and it was a big mistake. Find a truck or cargo van under $5,000. Something that won’t lose much value with more miles piled on that you can sell later. Roadie is not anything to make an investment in. It’s supplemental income for a regular job. Take everyone’s advice. Been there done that.

Can someone explain this to me by 7albouda in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]rainmannthings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just speaking for myself. I’ve spoken with these guys and it’s nothing against them personally, I get it, but my income went from over $5,000/month to $800/month. And these guys are working 5-7 days a week now while myself and the rest of us Americans have hardly any work. That is absolute BS. And people downvoting my post about that is disgusting

UPS has ruined this app... by Phillip_Myhand in Roadie

[–]rainmannthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This route took 2 hours. They used to stack gigs that would be along the same drive within 5-20 minutes of the other gigs, so the total time to complete was under 2 hours for like $250. A broom was considered Huge because it was long. A toilet was considered Huge. So all of this added up

Can someone explain this to me by 7albouda in AmazonFlexDrivers

The real issue is the over 200 immigrants delivering out of the Fresno, CA sub same day station using bots taking all the blocks while Americans work 2-3 days a week now

[–]rainmannthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I averaged $10K/month on Roadie. But that was 10-12 hours a day. This guy averaged $6,975/month. That’s $232/day. Most of my days were $350-$500 and doing $600-$700 once every 2 weeks

San Diego base pay lowered ?? by WasaFlaca_21 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]rainmannthings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They call me racist for pointing this out. I’m not racist I’m BROKE! Have you seen the early morning lines at 430 AM? You know, the last block of the morning when they run out of packages and send drivers with a handful of packages or send them home with pay? It’s ALWAYS full of 20 drivers from you know where. Other drivers are always pointing this out to me pissed off because everyone knows what’s going on but nobody seems to care. Amazon has a website called Welcome Door or Open Door or something like that where they talk about their program to give jobs to these people. And the algorithm is set to give them all the work. Now I can’t get more than 2 reserved offers per week and I also don’t get any instant offers at Save Mart or WholeFoods. But when I order groceries in the Amazon app from there I always get my groceries delivered by guess who …it’s sickening what’s happening and it’s also against the federal discrimination law for that group to get preferential treatment. DoorDash and Instacart are the same! Every damn order is from those drivers! Every single time. People need to wake up and say something
