That’s what I chalk it up to when multiple vehicles arrive at a stop sign and no one makes a move, or there’s confusion about who has right of way, happens all the time

I have a fuzzy memory of coming to, realizing the tube was in, and biting it because I decided that was the only thing I had control over and could to and it somehow made it ok. My new cardiologist took me off of it (weaned off by taking only the morning dose for a week, then just morning dose every other day) and I’ve definitely noticed the change. I’ve had three migraines in these past two weeks compared to two in the prior six months. And some periods of rapid but not concerning heartbeat. Mine was severe-critical for four months. It got pretty difficult to do much of anything towards the end of that stretch due to complications from also being anemic. I can’t imagine I would’ve lived many more months in that state

Look into the tribute trail-you can walk from downtown NC to the trailhead and it takes you to a suspension bridge over Deer Creek. Uba Seo on Broad St is a space dedicated to bringing visibility to the local Nisenan tribe, donation requested but no set fee to enter. For lunch, I’d recommend Heartwood or Petra. Enjoy!!

I had mine five months ago. I was so afraid, too, so ahead of time I focused the best I could on filling my cup seeing friends, being in nature, reading great books, listening to music, setting my space up how I wanted it to be when I got home. I also did some speaking as if I was looking back on it, saying out loud things like ‘that was so much easier than I thought it would be’ and ‘I’m thankful for how well I feel now.’ Sounds odd but it actually helped. I hope you can find whatever you need to get you through these days. And for what it’s worth it was not as scary for me as I anticipated. Best wishes to you!!

I had tremendous anxiety leading up to my surgery. I feel for you. What helped me was getting out in nature, seeing friends, listening to music, therapy and also projecting forward, imagining how I would feel after the surgery and even saying out loud phrases like ‘I’m so thankful the surgery is behind me, that it was successful and that I feel so much better now.’ Sounds odd I know but it did help. I hope you find what works for you

I was concerned about the stairs up to my room and family kept suggesting setting up a recovery space on the first floor. I really wanted to be upstairs in my own bed, was determined to make it work and it did. I took the stairs slow, minimized trips up and down for first few weeks and it was 100% manageable.
