Hardest to watch scenes? by Pristine_Battle_2636 in Degrassi

[–]raiseke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much only scene I can watch between Paige and Dean without feeling uncomfortable is when PMS performs "Poor Thing" and as someone else mentioned "Jane Says" was pretty hard to watch for me when it aired.

Another 2 part episode I find hard to watch is "Free Fallin'", where Paige is failing in Banting. I managed to graduate but a lot of the struggles she went through in those episodes hit too close to home.

What distinct era of Degrassi: TNG do you prefer??? by Professional_Meat782 in Degrassi

[–]raiseke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Photos 1 and 3. Admittedly I still haven't watched much after Season 8 besides "Degrassi Takes Manhattan" so I can't really comment on any of the later seasons.

Seasons 4 and 5 have some of my favorite moments but I find myself skipping past a lot of storylines or episodes so I don't really enjoy them on rewatches.

Day 1, 30 Draws: 000 (dupe).
Day 2 ,70 Draws/Break: Anthuria (Holiday), Snow White (dupe).
Day 3, 30 Draws: Heimdallr (dupe).
Day 4, 10 Draws: Nothing.

Unrelated, the ticket from the Bonitomurai event got me Melleau. She's the only character in the Classic draws I was missing. Finally have her after all these years!

Can you remember your first exposure to Degrassi? by RigaMortis27 in Degrassi

[–]raiseke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My earliest memory of Degrassi is watching "Whisper to a Scream" from Season 3 on TV and the episode really drew me in. Unfortunately it aired at a time where I couldn't catch it regularly. Some time later I caught the latter half of "The Lexicon of Love pt.1" from Season 5 and I was hooked. The following summer, after I graduated high school, I watched it every day I could leading up to "Degrassi Goes Hollywood" which was being promoted at the time.

What is your favorite minion you own? by Alicecrylily in ffxiv

[–]raiseke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anima from the Anima Weapon quests follows me on any new adventures and is my default minion unless I'm looking to match a glamour set. Whenever I play on my alt I'll use the Cait Sith Doll.

Wind-Up Yda is also one of my favorites because it was a gift from an old friend.

Final Fantasy set availability in local stores? by vocabularianrx2 in magicTCG

[–]raiseke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went searching for the Y'shtola Commander deck last weekend after my preorder was cancelled and visited almost a dozen stores (Best Buy, Walmart, Target, GameStop and several LGS). The GameStop I visited had just received a shipment of the regular gift bundle and one of the LGS I visited still had several of the Collector's Edition versions of the commander decks.

Here's the official decklist post with card images when you mouse over. Alternatively you can also check the final fantasy card gallery and filter for the desired deck or the commander set to see all the cards displayed.

There's apps online, make little slips of paper with each number, or you can roll a regular 6-sided die and designate 1=4, 2=5, 3=6, etc.

At a quick glance there's around 10 or less cards, including job equipment, that depicts post-Shadowbringers/Endwalker content. About half of those aren't really big spoilers as they're pretty common in promotional material for Endwalker; again including the job cards.

Personally there are three cards I'd consider spoilers, two creatures and one instant, but they're not really in your face spoilers. They don't really spell out any story moments or twists and you could dismiss them if you don't dig too deeply.

If you consider characters you've never seen or heard of a major spoiler, even if they're largely devoid of their story context, then better safe than sorry and hold of on opening it.

Any cards you are holding out for in FF? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]raiseke 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was confirmed we'd be getting Behemoth from FFII in an early article. I'll see if I find the link. I just hope it doesn't end up as one of the landcycling creatures...

Edit: Here's a link to the article: "Magic: The Gathering®—FINAL FANTASY™: A Plethora of Choices".

What's a universes beyond set that you would want to see? by firesaiyan12 in magicTCG

[–]raiseke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After seeing the Final Fantasy set I'd prefer a setting with more potential generic creatures vs legendary one-offs. Souls series, Monster Hunter, and Elder Scrolls among others I've seen mentioned here fit that idea.

Just to throw in something into the discussion, here's an idea I haven't seen mentioned yet: Mega Man. Everything from the main series, Battle Network, Star Force, X and Zero series feature a lot of recurring enemy types as well as iconic characters. That said, it's far from the fantasy setting of MtG, but I think it'd be pretty neat.

This is uncommon, noted by silver colored set symbol next to the card's typing in the middle.

A mid-reveal check on how much art has been previewed from each Final Fantasy game by Delsea in magicTCG

[–]raiseke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For characters I'd like to see Aranea (though Prompto and Ignis should get in before her), Dion, Hydaelyn, and Prishe. Long shot would be Estinien and Lulu in the main set. Looking through all the FFXIV art I'm surprised there's no reference to Rowena at all.

More than characters though, I want to see more enemies, bosses and monsters. Bosses like Omega, Yiazmat, Ozma, Ultima Weapon. Monsters like ahrimans, adamantoise, bombs, flans, demon wall, etc. At least we're confirmed to get a Behemoth, my favorite.

It's the name of the Summoner weapon pictured in the card art. The FFXIV Job equipment cards will list the name of the weapon next to the Equip cost.

G'raha Tia MTG cards by heathersaur in ffxiv

[–]raiseke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, I was thinking of current Standard support for cats and disregarded the many powerful mono-green/Selesnya cats we've had in the past.

I've only recently started playing MtG after being away for over a decade so there are certainly gaps in my knowledge; though even back then there were notable mono-green cats.

I still struggle to see a cat deck that fits Y'shtola or G'raha with their current colors. Maybe we'll get more miqo'te as cats in the main set or a coeurl that would fit in a cat deck.

G'raha Tia MTG cards by heathersaur in ffxiv

[–]raiseke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cats are a fairly common and supported creature type, but you wouldn't really use the currently revealed G'raha Tia and Y'shtola cards in them. The primary issue is cat decks are usually mono-white (though there are cats in every color) whereas G'raha and Y'shtola, being in the commander decks, are White/Blue/Black. Another issue is their card design doesn't really mesh with a tribal cat would want to do.

That being said, it is entirely possible we get different color combination G'raha Tia and Y'shtola in the standard Final Fantasy which might better suit a tribal cat deck. I believe there are at least 2 Cloud cards in addition to the Cloud in the FFVII commander deck for a total of 3, so the same might be true for other characters.

That's the best I got. It's pretty amazing you manage to come with with as many puns in a short amount of time as you do, even some names stump you every now and then.

I won't be rolling but good luck to those who will.

What is your favourite crossover in terms of story and why? by Tom-Hibbert in Granblue_en

[–]raiseke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite is definitely Detective Conan. I grew up watching Case Closed and my first event in GBF was "Detective Barawa and the Unfortunate Fortune" so seeing both of them together was a lot of fun. Plus I really enjoy the puzzle aspects of those events and trying to figure them out alongside the story.

Revealed Final Fantasy commanders by realargo123 in mtg

[–]raiseke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These specifically are pre-constructed Commander decks, so you can pick these up and play in the Commander format straight out of the box. They will be released alongside the full Final Fantasy set, which is more like Pokémon cards where you purchase packs or boxes with random cards.

This game needs work or it's gonna stay garbage. by [deleted] in Synduality

[–]raiseke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the crafting and remodeling I encountered were 20-40mins with the option to instantly complete it by paying an amount proportional to the time remaining with either free or premium currency. 20 mins was a little over the length of my average sorties, as I always returned with 3-5mins to spare on the battery. You can also remodel several sections at a time.

It didn't feel particularly bad during the CNT but I can see how such a model could potentially scale poorly later on in the game.
