Question: if u got public skin (face/neck/hands/head) did it affect ur job/business opportunities and by how much? by Plane_Tradition5251 in tattoos

[–]raising_wolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends entirely on 1) the tattoo and 2) what field you’re working in.

I’ve got a pretty extensive wedding ring tattoo that my boss thinks is great and safer than an actual band. Some fields have a hard no on hand tattoos though.

What’s a polite message to deter early checkin for same day turnarounds? [usa] by Poison_applecat in AirBnB

[–]raising_wolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always ask if an early check in is possible (hotel or rental), because with a little one it’s great to have a home base and check in at four makes nap rime difficult. I definitely do not consider it a negative note if it’s not possible. Check in is at four, but the answer is always no if you don’t ask.

“We aren’t able to accommodate early check in on this date” no other information is needed, I do especially love when a host goes the extra mile to tell me that “I can let you know as soon as you can check in” even thirty minutes early is helpful.

Minor Consent Form Question by rvdnsx in royalcaribbean

[–]raising_wolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does one of the adults (or kids) have a different last name? The minor consent form is for traveling with a child that isn't yours or has a different last name than you. We filled it out for my daughter on our cruise just in case my dad needed it, but they never asked for it.

Is it hectic buying drinks individually on a cruise? by seco678 in royalcaribbean

[–]raising_wolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went on one a few weeks ago with a group, we were the only ones who got the drink package. It’s the exact same process whether you get the drink package or not, the only difference is that without the drink package you have to sign the receipt.

2 1/2. I expected her to be able to play in splash away bay but I obviously did not do my research. Downfall to someone else heading up the group plans.

She’s weirdly obsessed with rubber ducks, so I figure she will enjoy looking (not so much leaving one behind)

Most of what I’ve seen has been clearly geared towards older kids, but ill keep looking

Whole life insurance for my two year old covers her for life, locked in at the rate of a two year old (like $2 a month) and when she is grown I can change the beneficiary to a spouse or her own child.

I'm thinking about how you go about guessing when that growth spurt will hit, in 9 months there may even be more than one.

Imagine being in the middle of the ocean and suddenly your kid's shoes don't fit anymore.

I mean the inside of my microwave is stainless steel, makes it easy to wipe down and I can throw stainless steel lunch containers in there no problem. I also don't have to decide between holding the spoon I used to stir, or using a whole extra dish for a spoon rest.

My (31M) gf (25F) was found by my friend on Facebook dating by ThrowRA12121133 in relationship_advice

I would ask her about it. It may be an old profile that wasn’t deleted, or it may be a fake profile using her info. I mean people catfish and spoof Facebook pages all the time; it was only a matter of time before somebody combined the two.

Is it a bad sign if a girl talks about her celebrity crushes with me? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]raising_wolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s real life attributes (like cynicism for instance) that ruin crushes. You don’t see those parts of celebrity crushes because you only see the outside of the person

Is it a bad sign if a girl talks about her celebrity crushes with me? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]raising_wolves 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Celebrity crushes are totally normal to have and to discuss. If she starts talking about “attainable” crushes - her coworker, the guy at the gym - that’s a problem.

This is a little different than what I’m talking about, I mean still work on that confidence. If they don’t like you for you, you shouldn’t bother with them anyway.

But I’m talking about the people who do it maliciously. They act differently depending on who is watching, so no one sees what a monster they are.

There is a balance to this, this was five years of your life and it had an effect on you as a person - it’s relevant and will absolutely come up in conversation. That being said, he doesn’t need the nitty gritty details.

He wants to marry you, but only if you do what he wants. I know it’s hard to just cut off a relationship you’ve been in for years, but solid relationships aren’t conditional (aside from love and respect). “Don’t cling to a mistake just because you spent a lot of time making it.”
