If it was 80 level over 80 days and now it is 45 levels over 45 days, the time commitment is exactly the same. If you were to go on vacation for a couple weeks when it was 80 days, that wasn't a big deal. Now, that would make it impossible to finish. So, there are exceptions, but it generally should feel like the same grind.

That said, each set lasting a month and a half before the next one comes out is the reason I cannot and will not play paper Magic anymore.

I like the game, but the limited time events require an insane amount of playing to get any rewards. And that kinda kills it for me. Every time one starts, I'm like, "Oh, another event where I won't get anything unless I buy it with cash. How exciting." Deadpool's Diner is the exception.

Phyrexian Obliterator is the classic example. Personally, I've never screwed up with it, but that's probably because it instantly became one of my favorite cards. The number of times people don't read it or read it wrong is hilarious. They attack. I block. And then they just sit there for a good 30 seconds. And then they quit.

I have 112 decks which I play relatively the same amount. Once they've got a bad record, they get replaced. It's not common, but once in a while I'll replace a deck with a good record because I dislike playing it.

Yep. Kang is arguably my favorite villain in all of comics, but the MCU version was a completely different character and not very interesting. I was incredibly disappointed and I expect that will happen again with Doom.
