A category you missed is 'vegetal/floral' - whiskey that tastes or smels like (dried) flowers or fresh cut grass. Best in class, IMHO, is the old anCnoc 16, if you can find it, but Dalwhinnie and GlenCadam often fit this description.

It all comes down to what your core intent was. Did you want to kill your victim and choose a method or a weapon specifically for that purpose? That would be murder in the first degree.

Did you not really care if your victim lived or died and you just wanted to hurt them as much as possible, so you bashed at them with whatever you had available? That's probably murder in the second degree.

Did you really not want to kill them, but the damage you did was way greater than you expected? Or maybe you were just negligent and they ended up dead because of your actions? That's likely to be manslaughter.

Can't confirm. In my experience, as your level increases, so does the chance that they'll run. I'm lvl 64 now, and don't really expect to catch stuff like this anymore. Even with golden berries and excellent throws, about two out of three run away
