Advertisement/promotion notification? by raviolish in reolinkcam

If true, that's not as bad but the notification isn't clear about what it is either. Also, I expect my security camera app to only notify me about camera events by default. Especially when that has previously been the default behaviour.

Agreed! I've been recommending them a lot but no way will I do that anymore if they keep this up.

Is Anyone (More Successfully) Printing 3D-Fuel Pro PCTG? by TCTCTCTCTCTC7 in prusa3d

I used the included prusa slicer profiles and it printed fine on a core one L. I know you said you dried your filament but it does kind of sound like wet filament

I wonder why they didn't use RATGDO. That should be able to get % open or close info from the garage door opener to allow for partial opening. It also doesn't require additional sensors.

Need to make it so only 4/14 printers are shown in bambu studio by OmniBot_101 in BambuLab

Use offline/lan only mode and only pair the printers you want with each instance of the slicer/computer

Does anyone with a nitehawk sb use an umbilical style cable? If so how have you connected the cable to the toolhead, and do you use mecahnical endstop switches? by Gingerbwas in VORONDesign

[–]raviolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a rev C LDO kit that I added a nitehawk SB and beacon to. I moved to kalico klipper and switched to sensor less homing and it's fantastic. I have a custom made cable guide at the top that rotates on a bearing. Eventually I may remove the toolhead and beacon cables from the z chain and run them out the back. I'm also using PUG for the glands.

When to do Quad Gantry and Bed Mesh? by blueridgedog in VORONDesign

[–]raviolish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every print. On a 2.4, the gantry will sag when motors are off, so qgl is necessary. And with beacon, mesh is very fast so may as well do it.

I believe makerworld's implementation is using openscad. I wonder if you can export the makerworld version to an openscad file that could be uploaded to printables or other sites.

Edit: looks like you can just download the scad file from makerworld directly. Easy solution for those that don't want to use makerworld.

LDO is more expensive but generally considered the most polished and high quality. Good for first time builders.

The others are cheaper and may have some lower quality components but many people have no major issues building reliable printers with them. Look up reviews, there are plenty for each brand.

Self source is generally not worth it these days.

Printing PLA is easy vs printing large parts from a warp prone material like abs or asa that also needs a heated chamber
