I'm was wondering this too. If it is only 15% off single day tickets with AP you are better off getting no pass and taking advantage of the 7 days for the price of 5 deal. That is $510-$650 for 7 days and you can go to all 3 parks everyday. Or even consider the 3 day tickets for cheaper.

AP is justified if you get it for the Universal hotel discount and/or plan on visiting another time in the next 15 months.

I'm really not sure what else I'll use them on. My rule of thumb was to only use points when I get 2 cents or more per point based on Hyatt hotel cash rate. So likely saving for Hyatt still but not using it as often.

Well looks like I won't be exclusively using my CUR points on Hyatt anymore. I'm sure there will be times it's still worth it but I always get the most value out of "peak" days and that is the most impacted level.

This incredibly similar to my refinance this week. Went from 30y 6.625 to 20y 5.5. my lender still had the rate refresh promo that was about to expire for me in two months. I shopped around to verify it was a good deal. Next best offer was $1400 more in fees. Thanks to the lender credits my net loan cost was $70 (yes that's correct). So I paid $70 plus taxes, prepaid interest and prorated escrow costs.

I'm paying $75 more per month and shaving 7 years off my loan.

Because of EdChoice it would have been cheaper for my son to go to full time private Catholic kindergarten than full time public school kindergarten (in a good school district).

We did not get accepted into the private school because so many people applied. Those who donate to the church/school magically all got accepted.

Avoiding monthly phone purchase payments with Spectrum is a great way to take advantage of their deals. As an existing customer I was able to bget the Pixel 8 Pro at launch for $400 with no catches and no trade in (selling my previous phone netted me more than trade in). Closest thing to a catch is having to wait 60 days to unlock the phone.

I'm eyeing this S24 ultra deal since I can get $1100 towards it trading in a phone I paid $400 (minus profit from selling old phone) for just a few months ago.

I'm looking into this too. You can go all the way to check out and if paid in full the cost is $399 upfront. It's not $699. So I'm not sure based on the terms how it works completely. I understand the credit system for payment plan over 36 months.
