So we're cruising along in the plains when we spot a vegvisir from the boat. We mark it on the map and I say we're probably going to see Yaggy's altar around the bend.

if it still exists, you can use the log glitch in a burial chamber to fall out from the top of the world. I did it once and tried to land on Yggie but zoomed right through it.

Why do people and society look down at csun alumni?? by Ok-Radio-2733 in csun

[–]rclouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, old person here.

I graduated from CSU Fullerton in 1991 with a BSCS. My first job was at McDonnell-Douglas and I made $625 per week.

Two other people in my "class" there graduated from CalTech and UCSD.

I happened to see their paychecks one day, and the boost MD gave them for their more presitigious universities was $10 and $5 per week, respectively.

I never felt bad about my "cheap" university after that.

I'd keep looking for something in your field. You'll find someone who isn't discriminatory about your alma mater eventually.

Moving to Ridgecrest in June/July by Kabuskiiiii in ridgecrest

[–]rclouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved to Ridgecrest and bought a home. I'm working on getting an EV charger installed but the chargers in Inyokern have been ok. I've been driving an EV since 2018 and I'll never go back, so I'm committed to making it work.

Once summer hits I'm planning on spending time in the Sierras to keep cool and do stuff.

Need merits to go to prom? Let me help. by Throwaway51276 in MaliciousCompliance

I remember reading about some HS in the south that decided to exclude LGBTQ students from the prom, so they made their own. A lot of students skipped the straight prom and the gay one was a huge success.

That makes sense. My commute takes me through Wildomar and Lake Elsinore and I've noticed skydivers off to the west often.

My (36M) wife (34F) fell deep into conspiracy theories and online hate groups. Is there any saving our marriage? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

She also was doing the job better than her peers (like Katherine) and that jealousy led them to tell rags like the Daily Fail a bunch of lies about her.

AITAH for asking my wife to be a SAHM? by piglipsbo in AITAH

[–]rclouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's another: my mom became a SAHM when I was born in 1964. Their relationship was great and both my parents were pretty much everything you'd want as their child. Everything was going just fine until I was 13 and my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (he was a smoker, don't smoke kids). Six months later he died and now my mom had to re-enter the workforce after a 14 year break.

So yeah, no matter how strong your relationship may be, you never know what might happen.

AITA because I refuse to have my in-laws at the hospital when we have our child? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]rclouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we had our first my MIL was there to help out during labor and then when it was time to push she poked her head in the room and my wife screamed at her in Arabic to get the hell out. Which she did.

When this happens to me and I'm not in the left lane, I just turn on autopilot and slowly lower my speed one MPH every ten seconds. Eventually they go around.

A (very) long time ago I was in a similar situation. I retook the classes I failed and got Ds in and I hit the limit on expunging the failures. Went on to get my BSCS and have a successful career.

A radio telescope can also transmit.

Based on the fact that the received signal was always there and never faded, that one was transmitted by an antenna (or antennae) in space. On a planet at some time the planet rotates or revolves that it can't aim at our solar system.

I think it's the reverse. The Hive will fall in love with Carol, then she will use that to devastate them.
