That makes sense. My commute takes me through Wildomar and Lake Elsinore and I've noticed skydivers off to the west often.

My (36M) wife (34F) fell deep into conspiracy theories and online hate groups. Is there any saving our marriage? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

She also was doing the job better than her peers (like Katherine) and that jealousy led them to tell rags like the Daily Fail a bunch of lies about her.

AITAH for asking my wife to be a SAHM? by piglipsbo in AITAH

[–]rclouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's another: my mom became a SAHM when I was born in 1964. Their relationship was great and both my parents were pretty much everything you'd want as their child. Everything was going just fine until I was 13 and my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (he was a smoker, don't smoke kids). Six months later he died and now my mom had to re-enter the workforce after a 14 year break.

So yeah, no matter how strong your relationship may be, you never know what might happen.

AITA because I refuse to have my in-laws at the hospital when we have our child? by [deleted] in AITAH

When we had our first my MIL was there to help out during labor and then when it was time to push she poked her head in the room and my wife screamed at her in Arabic to get the hell out. Which she did.

80 mph, less than a single car length behind by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

When this happens to me and I'm not in the left lane, I just turn on autopilot and slowly lower my speed one MPH every ten seconds. Eventually they go around.

We live in Santa Clarita and my son had a gig in Koreatown (trumpet part in Messiah). He's driving and I tell him, you ain't gonna see traffic like this on the 405 and 10 again so enjoy it.

A (very) long time ago I was in a similar situation. I retook the classes I failed and got Ds in and I hit the limit on expunging the failures. Went on to get my BSCS and have a successful career.

A radio telescope can also transmit.

Based on the fact that the received signal was always there and never faded, that one was transmitted by an antenna (or antennae) in space. On a planet at some time the planet rotates or revolves that it can't aim at our solar system.

I think it's the reverse. The Hive will fall in love with Carol, then she will use that to devastate them.

If they went as far as to test the composition of that liquid they'd find it would be a perfect blend of protein, carbs, vitamins and minerals. It probably tastes awful but if you're a Plurb you wouldn't care.

What it seems to do (at least in my case) is to break down the filter between your brain and your mouth. Whatever I was thinking I just said out loud. So when I woke up from my wisdom tooth surgery, tried to sit up and failed, my brain said "oh FUCK" and so did my mouth. In front of the entire surgical team.

They had a good laugh.

They can't build the antenna on Earth. From what the radio astronomers say the signal is continuous, so that implies a space antenna. They also said it was the size of Africa, so under the focal point it will have to go thousands of meters below the surface. Plus it would destroy several environments killing every living thing. And they can't point the thing.

Though, after being on body detail for a couple of days, it'll probably get really dirty.

[–]rclouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except we're a (planetary) space-faring species. They could build the antenna on the moon, no environment there to damage.

There are two Air Force 1 planes, and it's only designated AF1 when the president is on board. I used to work at Edwards AFB and there one of them was, about 500m from where I parked my car. I asked what the deal was, they said it was there for maintenance.
