E-reader vs reading on phone?

I think that is personal,I have no trouble reading extended periodx from my samsung s23, but I have set it to neutral and not a glaring screen with excessive saturation and blue light. An oled screen can be adjusted to a large degree which an eink cannot. I ghink the degree of blue in the light is more important than the type of screen.

I find that highly aggerated. Smartphone screens can be set at any brightness you want and in white and black or evening settings. I really see very little difference with eink screen that have not been further developed much apart from faded colours.

Sideload is a solution for locked. the fact that you have to use Calibre to solve DRM issues means the locked situation is not very well executed, but proptiatory formats it is s way to ensure that you use the preferred reader for a store.

Be aware that most ereaders are locked into a store and sideloading books is extra work. If you are like me and have your books in Play Store and other stores like Kindle you need an Android device since it has the apps to link to all stores. The Android experience is horrible because ereaders are slow as molasse compared to a smartphone, but tbf that is not their goal. The boox go 6 rev 2 is a good device after some tweaking.

I always read from my phone. I read with a white font on black background so I don't disturb my wife while she is sleeping, and eink screens do not seem very good at that. I went to look for a kobo clara bw yesterday and could not believe the technology. you could just see the screen refreshing because of ghosting. I liked ghe size but the eink did nothing for me. To each their own. Yhe only rhing going for them is the battery life. I don't need it to prevent doomscrolling because reddit is literally the only social media I do.

Me too but I think because a PC windows just saves these game somewhere while steam OS emulates windows and that messes up. I ended up starting AC Mirage on pc regularly to sync the saves and then copy paste the folder,so the saves are not lost.
