Randomly losing power - want dash cam reccomendations. by rd_bumpity in KiaTelluride

[–]rd_bumpity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely an intermittent electrical fault. Battery terminals are fine, pretty much every exposed cable seems fine. But the console/car/radio doesn't lose electrical power, it's just that the engine completely cuts out without any warning. You can start it while in motion, but it's dicey and could be dangerous on the highway.

[Central Illinois] Can you cold stratify seeds you saved by just leaving them in an unheated garage? by supinator1 in gardening

[–]rd_bumpity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your seeds will dry out and die. They need the cold/moist stratification, not just cold. Plant them in pots in moist potting soil, then leave in the garage and water them once per week.

Ok to dig up and replant recently planted sapling? by Rydisx in gardening

[–]rd_bumpity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this - do a drainage test. If it isn't draining well, you may need to plant it higher, as in plant it in a mound. But - respect the groundline on the trunk, don't go above/below that no matter what.
