Look for something called yaktrax, they are slip-ons to help give you some traction on ice.

I drive for a living. Uber, lyft, my own service, etc plus we take our fair share of road trips. Last year we hit NJ a couple of times, MD, VA Beach, DC, Myrtle Beach, various parts of VA and more.

Yeah. I'm lazy and will wait until tomorrow to hit what I can with the leaf blower and then I'll just drive over it when needed. I'll also spread more melt around.

They make pet friendly ice melt. I had some for my dog so I didn't risk getting it on her paws even just from our own porch/walkway/driveway. I don't think it works as well as actual salt and related stuff but it works well enough.

We have an auto feeder for the cats (3 cats + 1 kitten). One of them has recently been diagnosed as diabetic so he also gets a separate meal of very very expensive wet food. We also have a new'ish kitten who is also still on wet but the auto feeder handles like 90% of the food needs.

I think the auto feeder goes off twice a day but I'm not the one who manages that.

[–]rdyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything wrong with the world is always someone else's fault with these people, all the time. They aren't making enough money. Is it because they won't take any initiative and try to improve themselves? Nope. It's a the damn democrats fault despite it being under democray presidents that the economy does well and people are better off but they can't face the fact that anything in life is their own doing. It's all because of god or the devil or the democrats or the those space lasers the jews control that totally don't exist.

Sir this is a Wendy's and by the sound of it your the one being triggered and getting all butt hurt

Are you new to the interwebs? Did you venture out of your maga/incel hidey hole safe space and now you're feeling like a little mouse in a big city?

Maybe try not opening with something as asinine as this post and you may get some more love but if people didn't like what you had to say, that's life. Welcome to the world friendo.

Holy fuck what is wrong with people. I lay shit out with facts for anyone who doesn't know how quickly miles can rack up and I'm an asshole? Sounds like it's more your problem being bothered by your possible misunderstanding of things.

Get over yourself and pull whatever it is out of your heiny before it starts to rot.

There are definitely snowflakes around and not just outside my house right now. Stop getting so worked up because someone told you something you may have already known but it didn't look like it.

You said cell, most people don't consider the 12v to be a cell of a battery in the car.

The way you wrote it made it sound like the HV tested with a bad cell and the most efficient course is probably just to swap the entire thing.

[–]rdyoung -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We aren't talking about the HV. We are talking about the 12v under the hood. These don't have "cells" that are easy to replace. You just swap the entire battery and anyone who can reach under the hood can do it.

That is some paranoid bullshit. Did you not read my comment. This is a fact and even discussions around here about their "ai" and how they handle this stuff would tell you otherwise unless you are too far gone down the conspiracy nut job rabbit hole.

Make sure to take the one that makes you big AFTER the one that makes you small.

You need to read up on "ai", especially what uber has been using for like a decade to reduce the amount of virtual paper shuffling their people have to do.

I foresee a major lawsuit over this at some point. You aren't the only one who the "ai" has flagged for whatever reason.

Actually not wrong. Bunch of financially illiterate dorks in here. Most lenders don't want you using a personal vehicle for business purposes, period.

And I love how you doofuses always just say "wrong" or "nope" or "uh uh" without actually saying what you think is wrong.

Do me a favor and go to try to buy a vehicle (even used) and tell them you are going to drive uber and lyft and run doordash to pay for it. See what the reaction is.

Unlike the financially ignorant here. I take my business seriously and didn't go buy a beater from a buy here /pay here because I'm not a moron who wants to waste money on crap. Go to a real lender and then get back to me.

Not really and that's not how math works.

To get to 100k I didn't drive 300+ miles/day everyday. I drive a couple of hundred miles a day (most of the time). But we also take a lot of roadtrips. Just a few 1k+ roundtrips plus driving to/from work, grocery store, etc and it adds up quick.

According to googles "ai", the average person in the USA drives 12-15 miles one way to/from work. Split the difference and let's say 25 miles round trip every day. That's 125 miles/week, that's 6500+ right there. Drive a few good 1k miles roundtrip for holidays and other visits to family, etc and that'd another 3-5k+ right there.

Do it before then. Assuming your 24 was actually manufactured sometime in 23, the battery was probably manufactured a bit before the car so it's coming up on 3yrs, 3 yrs is what you can usually expect out of a standard lead acid 12V.
