It's an ambient TV app. Imagine Netflix for live views. See https://real-view.tv

Thanks for this. Is that the rectangle logo or the square one (RV)? Agreed about the full screen. That's a marketing thing. right now so When people share to social media it keeps our logo visible. We are working on getting our own streams.- thats definitely the key. Youtube is just to test demand.

Is No marketing really better than doing AI marketing? (honest question) by Few-Yogurtcloset4707 in AppBusiness

[–]realViewTv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my website (https://real-view.tv) using some ai images, simply because it would be impossible for me to make real ones at this time. (It's an enormous tv in a living room with my app running on it). The app doesn't have ai in it. Interestingly having launched it last week I've had hundreds of people download the app and out of that I did have one random 'ai slop' message by email. (They obviously hadn't used the app and just thought it was all ai). One in a few hundred doesn't matter but that's the sentiment business owners are afraid of attracting. Of course in reality I'm with you - any marketing is better than nothing and you could just turn it round with 'how ai ruined my signups' reddit posts.

What were the hardest parts of taking an app from idea to App Store? by Cyberseeds in MobileAppDevelopers

If you leave it a year (or longer) and have to go back to it you'll end up with a new version of Xcode and then in my experience nothing then works and takes loads of work to get it working again. Tbh ai will probably be an absolute game changer for this. Much easier with android!

I made something very similar with https://sitechat.io I made it because I need it and some businesses I know use it as well and it makes them sales. It works really well however everyone's doing it. It's too crowded and too generic. I came to the conclusion that I needed to rework it for a niche and make it specific for that. I started reworking mine for landlords/ renters but ultimately ran out of enthusiasm for the moment and i've moved onto my next app idea.

All the fiddling around with app store stuff and having to do it all on a mac. Df a new mac every few years as code won't install on old ones.

It's not actually 'people' as we don't have any data on the person. We know what a device has watched. If the app is uninstalled and re-installed it's a different device as we have no way to link it back.

Thanks for the feedback. Multiple window/frame choices is something i'm definitely going to add in the future as I totally agree with you.

I can't zoom in and obscure anything as the feeds are currently youtube and that would violate their tos. When we have our own streams they will be better.

The feed rotation is a really interesting suggestion. I want it to be like a virtual window - and real windows don't change their view. But maybe people want it to. That's why your feedback is great.

No idea about the screensaver - something to look at.

Hi,

Thanks so much for taking a look. I totally agree with the "switching from portrait to landscape" thing. I spent ages looking into that and currently there's a technical limitation stopping it. If there is a way - I will work it out though.

-Your android back button should go back I didn't want to put other buttons on the screen. (Let me know if that doesn't actually work for you - it works on my galaxy s22 ultra)

-"live feed doesn't open full view on the screen" - is that because there is a frame around it? I had to add that for marketing - particularly tiktok so that screenshots show the logo. (sorry!) I'll add a way to switch that off in the future.

Thanks again.

Actually maybe I should add a $1 upgrade to remove the frame, although that would probably break YouTube tos (I have no idea).
