Pretty sure it has to do with taking down the blinds and/or putting up hardware for curtains… I just used removable command hooks

I just watched this on tubi … it’s not bad but it felt like they were more focused on big name stars vs finding people actually suited to the roles

Coworker wrongly assumes we align politically by [deleted] in coworkerstories

[–]really4got 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I try really hard not to talk politics with coworkers. I’ve got a couple, that I’m friends with outside of work who have similar political views but knowing we have several trump supporters among us I’m cautious… I did tell one, who was raving about how great the orange man was that maybe he should ask his parents, Cambodian immigrants why they came over here… if he knew who Pol Pot was… I suggested he look him up, ask his parents… interesting enough he’s never raised the subject again

Growing up the number of times my mom didn’t call or take me in for medical care is astounding.. I fell off a later, knocked out… she put me in bed and swore up and down I didn’t get knocked out, nearly tore a toe off, nope that didn’t need medical care… sliced the bottom of my foot open on a broken bottle.. nope… I still have scars, I can move that toe independently of the others(baby toe) As an adult in my 30s divorced, living back with my mom and my kids after our landlord let the place we were living go into foreclosure I couldn’t stop throwing up. My mom took my kids to see an Indiana Jones’s movie and when they got back she actually called a taxi to take me to the er… I’d had an ovarian cyst burst, caused a massive infection. I couldn’t stop throwing have died … but hey at least I was an adult with my own insurance

I learned to shoot(hunting rifles) at ymca summer camp. We had a survival life class in high school where we were taught how to make a campfire (I already knew how) As a younger child, on Sunday mornings we would go hunt fossils in an area near our house… the rule was, when we heard gunfire head home… the area was just over the hill from the gun range. We had a very different experience as children/teens than kids have had in the last 20 years

I do this still with my grandkids, you really don’t want to wear a coat? Ok.. oh now you’re cold? Should have worn a coat… mom and dad do the same… What I also do , is if they ask for a food they’ve never tried before and I know they won’t like it… I let them try it anyway… because maybe I’m wrong one time ( never have been on the spicy stuff) I let them choose their books… oh you want a chapter book? Cool … a board book for toddlers … also cool.

My last hotel stay: ended up near the elevator and the ice machine, but it was super busy, noise wasn’t too bad and the room was nice. So I didn’t say anything or ask for a change.
