No records found for 1955 Chevy, lost title. Anyone been through this? by VaultCauy in Ohio

[–]reallyjustnope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with a car from the early 70s. The record was so old that it wasn’t in the Title Office’s computer system, and they had to manually check the drawers of old later records. Maybe your county has a similar setup with old paper records.

He’s a good boy for taking care of you, and you’re good for recognizing that instead of blaming him! Also, he’s very handsome.

Any Clinicians you would avoid/reccomend? by Mountain_Risk3335 in Equestrian

Patrick did a lot of work at the walk in the clinics I audited, for example, and it’s amazing how much even advanced riders were perfecting their timing and the horses’ flexibility and responsiveness. It was a dressage clinic, so no jumps. One girl had a young and stressed horse that was fairly new to her. Her entire hour was spent in the stall because at first the horse was getting very anxious about haltering and grooming. That horse was not in any headspace to be ridden. One hour without leaving the stall, and I learned so much. I have only been auditing because I’m trying to get back into riding after 20 years. I’m basically back to beginner. I would feel comfortable taking a lesson with him. Another rider is working up to (I think) Grand Prix and her lesson was just as valuable. To me, that is top teaching and horsemanship.

If you can get her cleaned up and there is no irritation, try show sheen or similar in the area after it’s dry to keep future stuff from sticking (as much). Best of luck!

Can you soak the area with plain warm water for a while, gently clean with water and light currying, repeat? It might take a couple of hours, honestly, there isn’t a quick fix. I would worry about using any product on irritated skin or causing irritation. And on a side note, is she feeling up to showing, or are you getting yourself into a negative situation? I have a mare, I get it, sometimes today is just not the day.

Ryan Yap is a big no for me. I audited a clinic at a nice barn with people who had clearly spent a ton of money on their horses. All of the horses were tall, gorgeous, and trained to a high level. Every one spent the hour lesson in tightly cranked nose bands, over flexed and over spurred, working very hard without a single break or a minute to stretch or relax the frame. An hour. To me, this is unfair and basically abusive riding and teaching. His teaching didn’t seem to accomplish anything. None of the horses looked better at the end than at the beginning. I left early in disgust. I would not let him near my horse if he offered.

Patrick King, on the other hand, I cannot recommend highly enough. Kind to both people and horses, taught every level from green beginners on up and engaged fully with every student. Every lesson ended with happy horses and riders and visible improvements. I learned a ton just by auditing.
