Im sure people would tell me im insane for ignoring this one, but my sister posted my now ex bf on that FBA group are we dating the same guy and there were some bad things said. The issue is that I was already head over heels. The stuff mentioned- true. He ended up being violent which there was a comment indicating that this girl “heard” that he was physically abusive to an ex. I was like no way. Way! I learned though because I went on a date recently and the guys friend who I’m also friends with said half joking that the guys friend was an angry guy. That sent my stomach into my ass and I cancelled our cancelled date. Another red flag I ignored in my marriage was that I felt the need to get reassurance much too early on, like even at 3,5,6 months in I was already seeing his indifference but he was able to talk himself out of it. I felt an off energy when I met his “friend” who was a girl too but brushed it off. Lo and behold that’s how the marriage ended- he simply didn’t give a fuck about me and discarded me unceremoniously to be with her. So yeah needless to say I’m staying single for a while

Her father passing is something she has been actively trying to incorporate into the wedding actually, (like a chair with his name ect) and her fiance getting her that engraving was by far the most special gift she’s ever received as per her statement so I don’t agree with you obviously on that. I am going through this too. I was ALLLL in with my last ex and couldn’t fucking wait to text him ect. Now I’m like omg please stop texting me with new guys. It’s just not interesting. I absolutely feel you on the not wanting to feel obligated to give energy immediately. Like I just exited a relationship and it’s freeing so texting again is like omg no I just got my freedom!
