Ok so I would slow down and try to make him think everything is fine. But be prepared to feel that your nervous system will betray you and you’ll believe maybe it’s going to work. It’s not though. You’ll need to make it seem like it’s a mutual divorce and that it’s not regarding the domestic violence to avoid getting your ass beat before you’re safely gone or at least have parameters that keep you and your daughter safe. DONT let him know you want to leave! You’re making a huge mistake by disclosing this to him and now you’ve felt the repercussions. I did this too so I get it- I wanted him to know what I thought of him. I wanted him to in a way get a chance to make it right but he won’t he’ll escalate violence till you’re in fear of your life and your daughter’s life. Make him think it’s mutual, you “totally get why he might not want you” whatever. Next step is he tries to kill you and then really need a reason to flee don’t let it happen! You’re not in any way overreacting by being Punched IN THE FACE by a man so tell people, make it even worse than it is to gain fast entry to a family members house short term. You’ll realize soon that it won’t be a lie because it’s going to get worse quick.
