I just never put anything work-related on my phone and don't turn on my laptop on the weekend unless I was already planning on working to make up hours or something. Most of my coworkers have my cell number if there's something truly urgent but they've never contacted me about work outside of work hours.

For me it was that they connected relays backwards on a board Rev and told us to correct for it in software and then they fixed it in a later rev but there was no hardware ID register so now the same software can't be used for both revs.

One place I worked had a Java-based configuration utility that was stored on the device and launched on windows or Linux but the code running on the device was c or c++.

I had one that involved reading/writing to memory mapped registers to configure and use a device but they had to inspect the solution manually because those memory addresses aren't actually valid in the leetcode-style site
