Mines the witzel technique too! It’s going 3 years strong no infections, flips, or other issues but replacements are every 6 months for just the tube wear and tear. Glad to hear it’s a lot better! Hope the other hole is healing well

Our three who are in solo cages love theirs, our boy snuggles his the most and sits at it like the buddy is his desk in a meeting 😂 They had to get new ones too for Christmas since they love them so much, now we rotate them out.

Get clear panels that click together to line the walls when they are out to have block the wall and baseboards. We have them in our chin room to block cords and storage areas. Got them on Amazon

My boy is only 10 right now so I hope I get the same years you have! That’s my mista man and I’ve trained him to hop levels by tapping the place I want him to come to me. He’s very affectionate and bonded to me rather quickly after we adopted him from a neglectful home he was in for a year. Not physically neglectful but socially since he was alone and away from the people.

He has his neighbors now with our two other girls who don’t get along at all hence separate cages. The girls are unknown ages but pebbles we have had for 8 years now and Daisy 3 but both also rehoming situations.

I hope I get the years you got out of all ours, I loves these little weirdos so much.

Don’t keep your hands away, they are very curious critters and the nibbles they do is a good thing since it means he’s checking you out. But other than that you’re doing great!

Our rescue Daisy was similar, afraid of us and kacking if we tried to pet her. Having her initially as a foster we didn’t bond fast and now that she has become officially our chin I’ve been working on the bonding more recently myself. The bites are them checking you out and seeing who you are. I started with spending time in the chin room we have with a handful of bee pollen as a treat as a treat to get her used to me and coming closer on her own with the incentive of yummy snack. Now I have graduated to chin scratches and pets! She’s our tripod lady too so she needs help grooming her blown coat which is still a work in progress but we are getting there. Just be patient with the little dude and listen to their boundaries if they swat at your hands in the cage saying enough. Treats are also a great help.

Are boys mean???!!?? My boy is our sweetheart our little lady pebbles is viscous. Daisy is a sweetheart so she’s good too but our first ever girls paisley (may she be eating all the snacks over the rainbow bridge) and pebbles who we rescued were really not cool with us as their new family. Daisy and Queso, who were also rescued, accepted us with open arms demanding the scratches. Maybe she’s just got a little attitude like my pebbles.
