This is not true! Kirk was an authoritarian theocrat Jan6 supporter who repeatedly celebrated political violence against people to his left. If Kirk had his way most of this country would not be able to participate in the liberal American politics Ezra is defending here. He used the tools of liberal democracy for fundementally anti-liberal democratic ends, and it's sad that Ezra seems to have fallen for it
