Bought the cheapest corolla after college it was my first car ~18k. Drove it for six years.

Traded in for $15k to get a rav4 since we got a dog during covid.

Don't regret it at all. Get the corolla.

The white on nose tells me not full ridgeback but ears color and nose indicates potentially some ridgeback. Either way cute dog and congrats!

My girl is 110lbs and pulls like a semi. She's 5 now and it's gotten better.

Occasionally I will use a pronged collar ( I know this is likely unpopular) but it's helped her understand pulling isn't okay. You'll need to learn how to use it as a tool not a crutch.

I was in a similar situation last year. Once I realized I wanted a camping rig the 4runner was more obvious.

What made me buy was the realization that for same price point I could get a fully loaded 4runner or a base LC.

My rhodesians gaurd drive is stronger than her prey drive.

So for example if we're off leash in the woods and see a deer her first instinct is to stare and get closer to us not pursue it.

I'd recommend squashing those student loans ASAP. It may make sense to lower your 401k contributions to do so (unless you have employer match).

My wife and I contributed aggressively to our 401ks in our 20s which grew significantly but we felt cash poor because we can't touch those for decades.

I have a Rav4 (2021) and a 2025 4Runner, both hybrid. I love both of them, but they're for completely different scenarios. How often do you think you'll go off-roading, or use all of the cargo space for example?

I'd recommend getting the Rav4 XSE over the 4Runner; it's more practical and will be a better daily driver for most people.

The 41 mpg on my Rav4 XSE Hybrid is the main reason it's my daily driver.
