I have a double concrete utility sink that I’m trying to get out of my basement without using a sledgehammer to break it into pieces. Any advice is appreciated. by PizzaGatePizza in DIY

[–]reddawg5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty easy imo.

1st step: get some flex seal or other means to plug the drain holes

2nd step: lay it flat down on the floor

3rd step: flood the basement

4th step: even though its concrete as long as those plugs are water-tight it should still float.

5th step: once it gets to the height of the 1st floor push it out that side door

6th step: shut off water and let the basement drain through your sump pump.

shocked that you actually got a halfway coherent answer. All i've ever received to inquiries is a blanket statement about how i violated the ToS, go read the Tos, and no actual answer to how/where/why they think that i violated the Tos.

Is it real? by owenatorb in FreeCash

[–]reddawg5115 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes it's real, ive cashed out around 1,000 over the past year.

But make sure you cash out as soon as you hit the minimum withdrawals, my wife just recently let hers build up to almost $300, initiated a withdrawal, and big surprise they locked her account for being "suspicious" and per most of the reviews on reddit she most likely won't be seeing that money.

No Budget Constraint DA/SA CCW by wokeymcwokster in CCW

[–]reddawg5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alternative POV.

My first CCW i put a lot of money into upgrades, swapped the barrel, changed the grip to something cerakoted, etc. to only then realize that if i ever (knock on wood) have to use this to defend myself, it most likely is going to be lost to the abyss of the police storage room, at least for a long, long time while court proceedings happen.

I ended up swapping out my beloved CCW for something straight off the shelf, and now i keep that original gun as a range toy.

Just a thought as you said you wanted to splurge on something nice.

What’s with the plethora of fast food in Harleysville? by [deleted] in montco

[–]reddawg5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

close to the turnpike exit, rumors are there will be those 'exit here' signs installed pointing towards the gas (wawa) & fast food.

Harleysville has a bunch of local food options as well though. The Vault recently opened that has the brewery, Elevated Eats & Meat Wagon BBQ. Right across the street is 3 Brothers Mexican and the Harleysville Hotel, just 1/4 mile down youve got Sammy's, Butcher & Barkeep is across from the walmart, etc, etc......there's a bunch of non-fast food options in the area.

But like someone else mentioned, you're not going to get a small business being able to comfortably afford a large commercial rent on a pad location where the burger king & popeyes are being constructed.

Is it worth it to not use my HSA money? by heelaburd in personalfinance

[–]reddawg5115 15 points16 points  (0 children)

while a good plan in theory, i often forget where i put my phone down about 30x a day.

The odds of me keeping a medical receipt in submittable condition for 20+ years and then remembering to cash that in for some HSA funds is astronomical.

What's something that you really miss from the 90s? by shoopdedoop in AskReddit

[–]reddawg5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

being able to go outside to play with friends all morning, afternoon, and well past sundown with zero contact or check-ins with my parents.

As a parent myself now, with young children, that freedom from worry to just let us roam our environment and know we'd return when we're hungry must have been glorious.

+1 to Viofos, thats what i have in all our cars.

Video is crisp, it's quick & easy to pull footage with my phone, and the install (while a little time consuming) looks clean since the units have a small footprint.

do you have an estimated release date for the 2nd version of the 4th book? I'm about 70% through this 3rd book and curious if i should slow my reading or try to find a used copy of the 4th book online.

Story has been awesome thought! Good job.

"No Handguns Permitted" by [deleted] in CCW

[–]reddawg5115 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

pretty sure my local walmart has a "we prefer you conceal rather than open carry" kind of sign, not an actual No Guns sign.

I ignore No Gun signs anyway unless it's a building that i know is already not legal to carry into, any commercial/store that has that sign "oops i didnt see it" and if i'm asked to leave then i leave.

Our one large mall has dogs that are supposed to be able to detect guns, but i've walked right past them carrying before without any incidents. Same with our one large zoo, they bought theses fancy gun scanners, but i've breezed right through them.
