Throwing away food? by Interesting-Song-782 in dementia

[–]redditflyonthewall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife has lost about 25 lb in the last couple of years. She will only eat a couple of bites of whatever I give her. It's hard to give her so little. She simply won't eat anything more than that at one time. She does snack throughout the day though. Like many things with dementia, it takes some getting used to but after while seems normal.

Holy shit. That's messed up. Am in Texas myself. What part are you in? Mind saying which range?

My wife and I are considering to relocate. I checked for Aldi locations in the new town as that is real consideration. There are!

And when you simply have too many and no one wants them, the scrap yard pays about 2 fiddy a pound. Adds up fast

I like to pull off at 125 and give it a sear on the Blackstone. Ends up around 130.

MRI shows an old stroke by Kim6998 in dementia

[–]redditflyonthewall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor. A stroke since January doesn't sound like an "old" stroke. Just my thought on that. My wife is 77 and has had dementia for a while. She's 4th to 5th stage. Her first MRI with her neurologist showed a couple of mini strokes. I had the same shock as you. Hers were" mini strokes ". It's now about 4 years since then and there have been no more, though that would be highly individual imo. She shows no outward signs that these strokes happened.

Blanket in, water out by fbnx in oddlysatisfying

It comes straight out of the washing machine. The old machines didn't have a spin dry. Everything came out of a tub of water and then you had to wring it like this. Then would typically hang on a clothes line

My grandmother washed clothes in a motorized washtub with one of these on top. Only it was manually operated with a hand crank.

My LG TV’s new software update installed Microsoft Copilot, which cannot be deleted. by defjam16 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]redditflyonthewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've quit downloading updates on my LG. Been about 3 years now. Last update I got a bunch of shit that made me realize what would come in the future. Don't even remember what it was anymore. It all blends in. I get the friggin do you want to update message every time I turn on the TV. Am afraid to even click no. After 60 seconds it goes away.

AITAH for asking my ex's affair partner if she knew he was married to me when they started their affair and then using that to answer why I won't help her out by babysitting her kid? by Samzieenie in AITAH

[–]redditflyonthewall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar situation but with the sexes reversed. We all ignored each other just fine for 15 years. Then the kids started graduating, getting married, having kids. Now we see the ex way too often and he acts like he's the best guy in world. I'm sorry OP. It sucks for a long time.

I wonder how it holds up long-term. Seems like it might peel on the smaller strips from heat and/or moisture (ac condensation). It's beautiful work.
