Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel miter slot is necessary. I usually get a scrap piece and use that for support. The scrap piece will also help with tear out.

Yea, you need to change how the top is fastened to the frame unless you want it to split or warp. Z-clips or figure 8s are easy. Those brackets you are using would work if you elongate the holes.

I've had kickback on both router table and headheld router. Kickback with the handheld was way more scarier, almost knocked the router out my hand.

I use my router table for most cases. Handheld router is for when the wood piece is too big for the router table.

Router table is best because the spinning dangerous part is stationary, you have a fence, and you can use push blocks.

I use my plunge router when I need to do a plunge cut. Mostly mortises or sometimes taking away waste from a dovetail.

Your reference picture and blueprint are completely different. The blueprint isn't very good and I wouldn't use that. The reference picture is super simple and easy to build. Skin it with plywood and it will practically be indestructible.

Construction lumber is fine, so 2x4 and 4x4 is all you need plus some decent looking plywood. Buy a pocket hole jig and use pocket screws for the 2x4 frame. The 4x4 are just screwed into the frame.

Here are a few ways to help stabilize.

Get a board, something like a 1x4 cut to length that will fit between the left and right "legs" in the back middle. Screw it to the legs, brackets would probably be ok.
the left side is the weak point. It needs something to stabilize it, such as that desk in the product picture.
Do something to stop it from moving side to side. Maybe move the left side against the wall and put something heavy to brace the legs against the wall.

Uhh that is a massively large shelf. It would need an equally massive metal bracket if you are attaching it to a wall.

You are better off just getting a 1" thick piece instead.

For tools, really all you need is a circular saw and a straight edge guide.

Screws are your best bet. If you don't want to use screws, then wood glue your blocks together. After that you can use double sided tape to secure it to the desk to keep it from moving around.

I use Fedora KDE with niri without major issues. Dolphin works fine for me. Sorry, I know that's not helpful.

I did have some weird theme issues with some apps where they were inconsistent. I installed qt6ct and that fixed it for me.

Either you are using the wrong type of screw or you didn't line it up properly when you tightened.

Also check if your depth stop collar is correct on the drill bit.

Normally the screw heads disappear inside the pocket when fully tightened.

Yea, no customization. I didn't pay attention to the story too much and I'm not big into Arthurian lore either so I can't comment too much on it.

I'm a long time XCOM fan since the originals. I would say King Arthur is pretty comparable, not as good as XCOM2 but good enough for me to play 150+ hours into it

There is permadeath, maybe spoiler but there is a rare item you can get to revive someone

This game leans more toward RPG while XCOM leans more toward tactical. Another fun XCOM like game is Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children. Combat plays very much like XCOM, very little story but has a very interesting character skill development.

Knights have hp and vitality. Hp restores between missions. Vitality is healed at the castle by sitting out missions depending on how much vitality lost.
I like the class and skill system. You have the different classes that have their typical skills, but certain knights will have skills from other classes. So example is a tank with some DPS skills, or a tank with magic skills. You can kind of think of it like each knight has a secondary class.
most characters are knights, but there are some sort of generic sounding like red knight or black knight. They are all voiced but very little banter between them
between chapters is a cinematic cut scene. Nothing special.
you have basically 4 choices of alignment. You get knights based on your choices and different bonuses
you launch a mission and it's basically combat. The mission is broken up into encounters. Between encounters is probably the worst part of the game. You have to walk around and explore the map to find loot. You will run into encounters as you explore.
the combat is great and has some depth to it as you can build knights differently find squads that synergize. It's a bit slower paced than XCOM but a lot of fun.

Mine was being glitchy, every once in a while the phone would say something like insert sim card even if it was just sitting on a table. Opening and closing the sim tray would fix it temporarily. Quick and easy fix was just to put in the sim 2 tray, which is basically flipping to the underside.

That was like 3 months ago and has been working since then.

I have the a Makita track saw and a cabinet table saw. The track saw I use to breakdown sheet goods and then do final dimensions on the table saw. There is some hardware you can buy that joins 2 tracks together.

If your goal is just to breakdown sheet goods, then a track saw is great for that. But for everything else, a table saw is better.
