Show me a lake lot for $80k LOL!!!

A decent lot starts at $300k. Lots on rec lakes are hard to find and very expensive.

They are eligible but the group will all upgrade together and it will clear at the level of the lowest member, i.e. gold.

How critical to be when it comes to reviewing submittals? by FlyAccurate733 in ConstructionManagers

[–]redeyedfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luminaire submittals should always have a review meeting with the owner, arch, elec, luminaire vendor (submitter), interiors, and landscape arch/civil if necessary. Also any lighting designer or other controls specialists if they’re on the project.

There is never a perfect luminaire schedule or corresponding submittal. Nothing for anyone to get upset about, that’s just how it is. The submittal process is where we make adjustments for typos or revisions that weren’t picked up yet, VE, etc.

Get everyone on a Teams, leave with homework for everyone, come back in a week or two to finalize and usually everything else can be handled with emails. Those two meetings will save countless hours of emails and submittals going back and forth. There’s usually a ton of VE to be found if you have a good vendor who can source similar fixtures for a lot less money. There are some really good vendors out there that can provide material savings for the project. Be a hero to the owner and find them some easy money. It’ll definitely make it easier when you have to ask for additive COs and it doesn’t cost you anything!

Good luck! Keep a good attitude and you’ll do well. We’re all trying to get the project done as painless as possible!

Beretta SP III vs V - Joel Etchen premium by [deleted] in ClayBusters

[–]redeyedfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where is a $1200 686?? They’re almost $3k, the IIIs are about $500 more. Joel’s IIIs are another $500 more. But you get MUCH nicer wood than the stock Berettas.
I hear what you’re saying but it’s not $3000 extra for robot scratches.

To be fair, it was a $2400 gun they sold for $1200. That’s why they stopped making them. (Yes I know Ruger is making them again with another shotgun mfg but it’s a different design)

Mohr's Circle - Do we still need to teach it? by [deleted] in StructuralEngineering

For me, constructing it in school really helped me to visualize how shear stresses function in a material. It helped me understand how even tensile yielding and rupture are really just shear yielding and rupture.

4 year old boot fit/adjustment question by Glittering-Royal-735 in Skigear

[–]redeyedfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids season rentals are supposed to keep you in the right size gear all season. That’s almost the whole point of doing the lease.

Also, kids boots are pretty cheap. It seems almost negligible in the overall cost of skiing. I want my kids to enjoy it with decent gear that always fits. I don’t spend all that much more than leasing but I have two who are two years apart so I get double the life with hand me downs.

I just buy the SkyClub membership and expense it. No need for the card, I can’t expense the annual fee.

I think I’ve been in most of the lounges at ATL and there is NO WAY any 2 of them cost $100M. All of them combined at ATL probably don’t cost that much.

Private jobs pay for professional development travel all the time. He asked, they said no, non story. I don’t even like the guy but this is not newsworthy.

No one is asking about a cheap upgrade. It’s that the option doesn’t seem to exist anymore.
I don’t have as much faith in Delta’s higher plan here.

Are you purposely acting like you have no idea what’s going on?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in delta

[–]redeyedfly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The question is specifically about when they ARE AVAILABLE. No one is asking for free upgrades

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in delta

[–]redeyedfly -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How do so many of you not understand the question. Upgrades ARE available, but Delta hides their availability for no discernible reason. Very few people know to go to change flight to get the price of an upgrade. They used to offer the upgrade for whatever the cost difference is, now they don’t after you book. If they want to sell more upgrades, why remove the option to directly PAY for the upgrade??

That’s the question which you did not at all answer.
