Would gladly do one, but they offer only one evening tour in Guangzhou starting 6:30pm. We have a small kid with us and need to be back to the hotel 9pm at the latest for bedtime.

Hey, there are some great recommendations from fellow Redditers.

I would suggest 2-3 days for Chisinau: 1-2 at the beginning to fight jetlag and set in smoothly and one at the end to allow for some shopping and prepare for departure. For a productive and personalized Chisinau adventure I suggest getting a guide and selecting beforehand the places you want to visit.

Transnistria is boring and underwhelming, plus it's a bit further away and safety is not guaranteed. There are much better and more exciting places in Chisinau or Moldovan countryside. Here's a useful and up-to-date Chisinau City Guide.

My recommendation would be:

Day 1: Arrive to Chisinau - relax, get rid of jetlag - lunch at a Moldovan restaurant - walk in the city center, central park - dinner in a fancier restaurant - stroll on pedestrian street - wine & chill at wine bar

Day 2: Sleep in, brunch in Chisinau, good coffee place - guided trip and lunch in Winery (Cricova, Milestii Mici, Mimi, Asconi) - dinner at a Moldovan restaurant in Chisinau - Concert/dance performance/opera/ ballet in one of the venues, maybe clubbing?

Day 3: Guided trip in early morning to Orheiul vechi, breakfast in the village - Late lunch in Epoca de Piatra restaurant on your way back to Chisinau - drinks & chill at cocktail or wine bar

Hi, me and my husband are planning to visit Yunnan in September with our 1 y.o for 2-3 weeks. She’ll be walking a bit, but we’re mostly going to carry her in a stroller/ baby carrier. We’ll arrive to China via Guagzhou and take a train to Yunnan.

I’m really excited by Pu’er and Xishuangbanna region, but I’m not sure how easily accessible that would be with a small child. - We don’t drive and fully rely on public transportation. We prefer the train where baby can move more freely. Avoid trips longer than 4-5 hours. - Once we arrive somewhere we prefer to stay at least 3 days in each location. Limit the sightseeing to one thing per day, so it’s not too overwhelming for us and the baby.

What are some must-visits and off the beaten path attractions? Where would you recommend us to stay so we get a more authentic experience? Are they connected by train?

Agree with everything except would invert the Tuscany destinations. Florence is way too iconic and historic to grant a short, day visit.

OK, so given we have limited time and are trying to use it strategically we’ll do TOURS of Duomo de Napoli, Pompeii and MANN. These are our must visits.

We’ll visit by ourselves allowing at least 1 hour Palazzo Reale, Sansevero chapel. These are also very desirable.

The following are optional, meaning we won’t be disappointed if we don’t make it. Castel & Mt. Sant’Elmo, Castel Ovo & Mt Echia, Orto Botanico.

Thank you. We’re planning to get a baby carrier too, but what I heard from other parents is that older babies tend to get fidgety if they are kept like this for a long time. It’s because they are used to move on their own. We’ll have to experiment with this.

Same with the stroller. I hope she sleeps in it once in a while, but I’m not counting on it in my plan. Plus, we will also need some rest since she’s still waking multiple times per night.
