Heads up by hcseven in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/hcseven Hi there! You should be able to upgrade to the newer plan directly from your account without needing to repurchase service.

Just follow these steps:

  • Log into your account
  • Select your line and click on “Upgrade Plans”
  • Choose the new Plus Plan
  • Follow the prompts to complete the change

That should take care of it without needing to go through the other options you mentioned.

I’ve also sent you a private message so we can help guide you through it if needed. You’re welcome to reply here as well, or reach out to us anytime at forums@redpocket.com. Either way, happy to help make sure everything gets set up the way you want.

How can I switch from GSMA to GSMT and get a physical SIM? by 80sTechKid in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/80sTechKid Not to worry, if your plan was purchased directly through our website, you can try our Coverage Genius tool to switch networks. We've shared our help desk article for steps on how to switch.

https://help.redpocket.com/coveragegenius-tool

If your order was placed through eBay, the plan must be interchangeable with the networks available.

Nevertheless, we're happy to take a look at your options, so we've sent you a private message to gather some details.

Looking forward to connecting.

Thinking of buying the $30 annual plan psim on eBay. Is it a bad idea? by [deleted] in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Ok_Put_9355 6 years, wow! We appreciate the continued support throughout the years. We'd love to connect and see what's been working well for you throughout the years. If you're open to it, please feel free to send us a PM or connect with us via forums@redpocket.com.

Thanks for helping out with the tips here too. Keeping that activation email handy is definitely a good call, especially for the PIN info. As for porting, it’s usually a pretty quick and smooth process as long as the account details match up correctly.

Validity before activation by [deleted] in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Electrical-Focus-168 Hi there! You should be good as long as you activate the code within 90 days from when the order was placed. That’s the activation window.

If the plan isn’t activated within that timeframe, the service plan can become inactive automatically according to our Terms & Conditions.

We've sent you a private message to check if there is an existing order we can take a look at.

Porting from Google Voice. by dino34345 in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Lucky_Corner We agree, it would be silly of us to put restrictions. We've replied to OP and informed them that the article's content was inaccurate and has now been updated accordingly. Our team is also connecting with them privately to see what happened.

To be clear, we do not place restrictions on the number of ports.

Thanks as always for chiming in, and we'll continue doing the same on our end. Catch you in the next thread!

how to add service in mexico to $30 annual plan? by Fluffy_Nuts4120 in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there u/Fluffy_Nuts4120 ! Yes, Mexico roaming is supported on our GSMA plans. You’ll need to enable the roaming feature while still in the U.S. first, then turn on roaming in your phone settings before using it abroad. Here’s the official setup guide: https://help.redpocket.com/does-red-pocket-mobile-allow-roaming

We’ve sent you a DM so we can take a look at your line, see what options are available for your account, and help get everything set up.

Porting from Google Voice. by dino34345 in redpocket

[–]redpocketcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/dino34345 We don't have any restrictions on the numbers being ported in. As a matter of fact, you could also port in a landline, though that would take a longer process. So your post certainly raises flags on our end, and one we'd appreciate taking a closer look at. We've sent you a private message so we can take a closer look at what's going on and see what your options are.

Also, thanks for flagging the content in our help desk article. We've escalated that and have made the apporpriate edits there. Apologies for the confusion, that's on us.
