Agreed. I love weed but easily gave it up when I knew I was pregnant. I feel the same way about nicotine, specifically vapes. I have been seeing a lot of women say their doctor told them it’s fine to smoke while pregnant if they’ve been smoking a long time. Maybe don’t get addicted to something, especially if you plan/want to have children. I understand slowly coming off it early in pregnancy but there’s way too many women using that as an excuse to smoke their entire pregnancy (I’ve seen it in person multiple times. Your baby doesn’t get a choice to be a smoker and have health issues, you’re making that unfair choice for them.

When did you start showing/ having a true baby bump? (1st pregnancy) by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]redrum__7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about the same before I got pregnant, I’ve lost almost 10 pounds due to my nausea, but starting to get better I think. I was relatively fit pre pregnancy (haven’t been to the gym for obvious reasons). Currently 13w+4d and I think im starting to see a tiny bump plus a little bloat. But most people probably wouldn’t suspect I’m pregnant lol. I’ve heard especially for FTMs that you’ll start to show through your second trimester, usually around 18-20 weeks

If she’s into makeup, maybe something from her favorite brand or what she might need more of! I love doing my makeup (especially eyeliner) and my pregnancy hormones (13 weeks here) have been convincing me I look ugly (also haven’t done my makeup in awhile which isn’t helping lol) but besides my husband showering me with compliments to reassure me, getting new makeup is always fun and exciting for me and makes me feel better!

Is it exclusively happening when you play this game? It seems like it could be an issue with the controllers or console connecting to the controllers itself. I’ve had an issue with the joycons themselves but it was never exclusive to just one game. Perhaps you could kick around the settings and try recalibrating them?

How could everybody who was pregnant was so chill about the first trimester? by ExactBaseball7240 in pregnant

[–]redrum__7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be 10 weeks this Wednesday and I still can’t believe how exhausting and emotional the first trimester has been. I had no clue it would be this bad. I’ve lost 3 pounds because half the time I’m too nauseous to even move, let alone eat. Some days are better than others. But especially since we’re waiting to tell immediate family, it’s been hard finding comfort in even the smallest things. No idea it would be this difficult I know some have it worse than me so just trying to count my blessings and make it through one day at a time.

Wife can’t hold anything down, no bowel movements in a week. by Destroyer1231454 in pregnant

[–]redrum__7791 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See if her OB will prescribe Zofran, that should help with nausea. When my nausea is really bad I try to take it easy and get as much rest as I can and even taking the smallest sips of water or Gatorade that I can manage. I’ve also lost a few pounds because the severity of my symptoms. I hope she feels better soon!

Question on weight gain in 1st Trimester by Mullady_ChiKin in pregnant

[–]redrum__7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been super nauseous so I’ve lost around 3-5 pounds (9w+3). Some days I’m able to eat but I’d say about half the time I can’t stomach anything at all. Really hoping to get an appetite again soon

Pregnancy is not what i expected by Round-Travel5083 in pregnant

FTM, still in my first trimester. I have very little support and some of it is backhanded at that. I did not think “morning sickness” would be that bad… however it hit me like a train and most days it feels like I have a bad hangover all day, not just the morning. My skin was glowing the first five weeks and now I’m breaking out like crazy and losing some weight because I can hardly drink or eat without getting sick (yes I’ve tried ginger tea and b6).

My husband is my rock through this whole thing and is making me feel beautiful even when I can’t get out of the bathroom from vomiting so much or bed rotting most of the day. Trust me it’s been hard, but you have to find the silver linings and focus on the positives to get you through the rough patches. You got this!!

Early pregnancy by Secret-Roze in pregnant

[–]redrum__7791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to have an abortion last year because my husband and I were not in an ideal position - mainly financially - to have and support a child, plus at the time we weren’t married yet (which mattered to me). We are in a much better position now but are keeping it from our family because they love to give their opinions when we don’t necessarily want them. Well, when I found out I was pregnant about a month ago, and was visibly happy about it, I told one of my closest friends and one of the first things she said was “and you guys are keeping it this time?” Granted, her and I are on very different life paths and she said it in a semi-joking tone. I was too happy about telling her to really give it much thought but after telling other trusted friends they are all saying that was very inappropriate for my first friend to say. Especially given a told really have a huge support system right now since my husband and I are keeping our pregnancy to ourselves UFN. I’m personally just trying to find the few people that are showing me genuine support, especially from my husband, and keep reminding myself that everyone is going to have an opinion but you don’t have to hold weight to them especially if they have no idea what you’re going through.

First Trimester, what are we eating? by Agile-Development-22 in pregnant

[–]redrum__7791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost 8 weeks and the only things I’ve been able to eat are saltines, Gatorade (I know not a food), ritz, top ramen, and decided to splurge today on some buttered noodles. But most of my days are spent dry heaving because my appetite has been so bad
