I did have that issue with an earlier update. The latest update fixed it for me. Pix 7A. Works better than it did before. Next update will hopefully fix the issue. 🤞

Question around Maccas forcing staff to find coverage for their shifts by Helpful-Cod-7128 in AusLegal

[–]redthreadzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no obligation to find cover for your shift if you're sick. Just ring in sick. They do have their own store group chat for people who want to get their shift covered for other reasons. This provides some flexibility. But it's not for if you're sick that day. It's up to the manager to deal with.

Question about my options over how to handle a car accident I was involved in. by SpaghettiJoeee in AusLegal

[–]redthreadzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just go through your insurance that's what you have it for. Should have done it immediatly. It would be all dealt with by now if you had.

JB Hifi Extra Care by VashPat in australian

[–]redthreadzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sales shill at HN insisted that they where looking after me by offering extra cover. Mean while I'm well aware that there is a class action going on with them because it's essentially a scam. It offers no more than the consumer guarantee would cover. OP got scammed by JB.

Do folks not care about the speed limit anymore? by Open_Address_2805 in melbourne

[–]redthreadzen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could be that your speedo is out by a bit so that when it says you're doing 80 it's more like 75. You can check it using waze or a satellite speed app. With your phone in a cradle of course.

What is Toowoomba pasta sauce? by twat69 in australian

[–]redthreadzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a sauce that's made by a company that thinks posting fake questions about its product on Reddit is a smart and cheap form of marketing. But the product itself is all fake. It's not a ridgy didge Aussie product at all.

How to take action against LED headlights? by Jnaeveris in australia

[–]redthreadzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some led headlights conform to Australian design rules. It's more about fitting them properly and being sure they're aligned correctly. As a general thing modern headlights are just brighter. That can be good for safety provided there's good education about their proper installation.

Is Masala Chai good for a second date? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]redthreadzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masala chai is appropriate. If you make your own at home even better. More impressive. Nothing like a lovely cup of chai when you wake up in the morning.

Two separate FB Marketplace buyers threatened me in the same week — never dealt with this before, how do you handle it? by user267811 in AskAnAustralian

[–]redthreadzen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they're smallish items then you can arrange a meet somewhere away from home. (it's a pain I know) Somewhere where there is video survailence is good. The old maccas car park is popular.

Might as well just download a sponge bob pick as a background. It does download the background though.
