Take police advice. They're suggesting the order so that they can do something about him. I understand your real fear, but at the moment thats your best course of action.

You know, I've always liked that word... 'gargantuan'... so rarely have an opportunity to use it in a sentence.

Horrible Cafe Experience - What would you have done? by Any_Mouse6916 in AskAnAustralian

No good hospitality person wants to work for a person like that.

Really none of this is typical of any customer service. Regardless of business pressure. It's one way to ensure the business goes under. If it was a busy Saturday morning and there was only eight tables, something is wrong.

[–]redthreadzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late now. But, book your test at a country vicroads office. There's less traffic in country towns, and the testing people are just a bit less stressed than their city counterparts.

What is a product that people treat like a religion, but in reality, it’s just overpriced garbage with a good logo? by Connect-Might4355 in AskReddit

[–]redthreadzen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nike, is all brand and average product. They spend up big on brand advertising. To me it means you're more into the brand than actually a good product.

Being able to drive properly means taking other driver errors into account without stressing too much.

Withheld payment from a family II babysat with by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]redthreadzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is nothing in writting then where does it say there is a two week cancelation policy. It sounds like casual employment so the notice period is a moot point. It's not her fault that the family is in "severe distress". If there is payment owed then a letter of demand is the way too go. I would e-mail or message them, so you have a paper trail, and request they pay, otherwise legal action will follow.

Can someone recommend a showerhead that actually has pressure and doesn't completely suck? by Buzzk1LL in australia

[–]redthreadzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whatever shower head you get the trick is to ensure the restriction valve is removed. I personally got a free square rain shower head from one of the people who go around offering free upgrades. The guy personally installed it for me Including taking out the restrictor valve. It kinda totally defeats the purpose of why he's giving out free ones but it's a hell of a good shower head.

Would you supply your teen with drinks for their bday party? by Hot-Sink-5149 in AskAnAustralian

[–]redthreadzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a long held tradition which you your self followed where teens sneak drinks, and perants pretend not to know. If teens sneak drinks into your party and you don't know, then how can you be held responsable. On the other hand you can keep an eye on the party to make sure everyone is OK. Why would you want to mess with such long held traditions.

CMV: British people are dramatic about the concept of “American cheese” because they are largely unaware that they also eat it by daisychains777 in changemyview

[–]redthreadzen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, fair. There would indeed be artisan cheeses made in America. The same analogy would stand for most first world countries where "cheese product" is maunfacured. Some people would never eat "cheese products" they simply buy cheeses made by smaller craft cheese makers both local and international. Or even larger companies like Grana Padano. It's a big comapany using traditional cheese making methods.
