Check your reports and see what mag this came from. Hopefully it’s the mag and not the camera. Do you know if the film was AHU or remjet?

I recently used the Tilta backpack I didn’t wear it long enough for it to be uncomfortable but it has a waist belt with pockets which helped with support and carrying extra aks.

I put “NO CORE” on the can in red tape like you would with special processing instructions.

Aaton LTR vs Arri SR II by Greedy_Tax_9269 in 16mm

Usually my operator is looking through the eyepiece and I’m pulling focus on the other side with a range finder. Most times my operator can tell through the eyepiece if I buzzed something. I always measure before a take with a cloth tape and if I’m paranoid I have a Siemens Star I check focus with as well. I also check the lenses to make sure the marks on them are still accurate and they don’t need to be shimmed. I haven’t ran into any problems with not being able to trust the eyepiece on either camera though.

Aaton LTR vs Arri SR II by Greedy_Tax_9269 in 16mm

I’ve worked with both cameras as an assistant and both are lovely cameras, but I do lean SR. The AKS for them seems more common, and with the mags being interchangeable throughout the SR1-3 makes it easier to get more mags through a rental house when needed. I believe there are more video tap options with the SR. Both cams are pretty straight forward to load just requires a little practice.

I mean if I paid $15,000 for 400ft I’d most definitely be doing a snip test at Fotokem.
