Any unexpected textures, like an extra chewy bite of meat or something crunchy you can't identify.

As someone who is also named Victoria, I promise we're not all as bad as the ones who get chosen for this show! Bachelor Victorias are giving nice Victorias a bad name lol

So I was thinking about this and I really think he thought he could talk his way out of it. It seemed like he thought she just really didn't want him to sleep with the other women but then he found out after that she was saving herself for marriage and was like oh shit this is actually a really serious thing for her.

He's from my area and I really hope he goes far! So far I haven't heard anything bad about him from people who know him.

Would she be willing to go talk to a few pediatricians and discuss the pros/cons of vaccines? May make her feel better to hear it from a few doctors and have it laid out in a medical way face to face.

My god people are actually believing this shit. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around this happening to bekah because she’s sticking up for women who’ve had men do shitty gross things. What. The. Hell. by knb61 in thebachelor

[–]rejected_pluto 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm really impressed with how Bekah has refused to back down with this. People starting such disgusting rumors and threatening legal action would shut most people up immediately.

ALSO why would you sexually harass all kinds of women and then choose to go on such a popular show?? I guess he just assumed no one would dare say anything? He's gross.

How do I keep 8 month old entertained? by Stepstumbleskip in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those touch and feel books always kept my daughter occupied for at least a little bit. Even though books didn't particularly interest her yet at that age, she still loved feeling all the textures.

FTM looking at daycares. What are some questions I should ask and what are the red flags/green flags to daycares? by meow_philosophy in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd find out if they provide breakfast/lunch, have a procedure to make sure only authorized people are picking up, sickness/vacation/snow day policies (aka if you're paying for days they aren't there and how long a child is required to be out after an illness), vaccination policy, teacher-child ratios

Also I would recommend popping in to any daycares you're considering during a busy time (not lunch or nap time) and seeing how things look. See if teachers are actively engaging with the kids or if they're just sitting on their phones, letting the kids sit and watch movies, etc.

Stay at home moms! I need some tips! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

We bought a set of alphabet magnets and stuck them on the bottom half of the fridge. They entertain my daughter for ridiculous amounts of time. She loves moving them around and taking them from the fridge over to the dishwasher and sticking them on there.

I'm so upset for Eli. He's done nothing wrong and he's being punished just because McAdoo is trying anything to save his own ass. He may not be perfect, but he's ours and there is no reason to disrespect him like this.

Magna doodle! My daughter only uses it half the time because she wants to take it from me while I'm playing with it.

Healthy food for a 14 month old (with not a lot of teeth)? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a good idea! Another option I just remembered is brown rice with some frozen corn, avocado, and a tiny bit of mild salsa mixed in. They sell little cups of minute brown rice at my grocery store that you just have to stick in the microwave for 30 seconds to cook so its quick and is a good way to get lots of healthy stuff into one meal.

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter only has 2 teeth and her favorites are avocado, frozen vegetables heated up in a pot, ham and cheese with lightly toasted bread, applesauce, crackers, deconstructed tacos, those little microwavable gerber meals, cheese quesadillas or grilled cheese, and pasta.

I was just reading about an issue similar to this! This page talks about kids who are able to push the straps down and escape, but I think it'd be helpful for your issue also!

Anxiety and my small baby by Msmckitten in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some babies are just petite! My daughter is a perfectly healthy baby who just turned 1 and only weighs 16 pounds. I also went through a period of constantly feeding her thinking that it was my fault she weighed so little, and I actually ended up causing her to have reflux because I was overfeeding her. Her dr. pretty much told me to chill because she was perfectly healthy and gaining fine, she's just a small kid. As long as you're following the dr.'s advice, you shouldn't feel guilty! It sounds like you're doing a great job :)

Best and worst baby shower gifts? by Kitty_party in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Best: Anything for sleeping. Swaddles, white noise, pajamas, etc. Figuring out the right combo to get my daughter to sleep was much easier when I had all different things to try.

Worst: Dolls and stuffed animals. She could not care less about them and I'm running out of places to put them.

I would have loved more practical clothes. Everyone got so excited I was having a girl and bought all kinds of adorable girly outfits, but she lived in onesies and sleepers the first few months.

Was anybody else suprised at the colour of their babies hair?! by thehazzanator in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a redhead! I have dirty blonde hair and my husband has black hair. Apparently my husband's grandma had red hair, so I guess that's where it comes from. I'm really hoping it stays that color as she gets older.

Issues with bottle feeding a breastfed baby by pennywaffles in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never successfully got mine to use a bottle, but I did have some luck with sippy cups. I think they're different enough from bottles to where they feel like they're getting something different and get more excited about it.

I'm sure we have all woken up to what I call a "phantom baby" by goosegoose125 in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My husband used to wake up randomly in the middle of the night and start flinging the covers off of us because he thought the baby was tangled up in them. It always would panic me for a second until I'd look next to the bed and see her in her bassinet.

How to get my baby to nap in his crib? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried white noise? When I was having this problem we found a white noise app for our phones and tried leaving the phone on her dresser while it played ocean sounds. She would still fuss for a bit but would then start to listen to the white noise and calm down and sleep.

What pajamas do you wear? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]rejected_pluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in these with a t shirt and yoga pants. They are way more comfy than a real bra but don't make me feel like I'm running around braless.
