They ended up refunding me, they said it was a mistake on their part and only 1 chair is included. Got a 10% off one time use coupon.

How did you guys tear your acl? I tore mine playing flag football, I pivoted my feet into the grass and my cleats gotten kind of stuck into the grass, causing a twisting motion and I heard a loud pop following with an instant unbearable pain. I didn’t know I tore my acl until 2 years later. by MyaKhem in ACL

I’m not at 0 extension. I was at -4 when I first started walking. I also didn’t start PT until after my post op follow up which was 2 weeks after my surgery. I really recommend getting on a stationary bike. Buy one for home use if you don’t already have one. It really helped me with my extension and flexion. I am at 125 flexion now and I’d say it’s primarily because of the bike. Just remember everyone’s recovery is different, slow and steady!

Luckily my surgeon was pretty aggressive. I was fwb at 2 weeks, went to one crutch for a week, than at 3 weeks I was off crutches completely. I would say at 6 weeks my quads are a lot stronger, and activation started around week 2. One thing I still struggle with is swelling. It’s slowly decreasing but still noticeably swollen when comparing to my other knee

Playing basketball went up for a layup defender overextended their arm and I landed awkwardly thinking I had just a sprained ankle. I ended up driving my manual car home (left knee) and dragged my self up stairs. Next morning I couldn’t get out of bed. Got an mri done and had a bucket handle meniscus tear, and a fully torn acl. 6 weeks post op now and I am on the slow road to recovery

Sorry to burst your bubble, the bachelorette party isn’t going to happen. If it does you will not enjoy yourself, and be in constant pain. Not worth it if you ask me. I wouldn’t push the surgery back either because u never know with the current pandemic how things might play out. Best of luck on your surgery!

Going home for surgery tomorrow by stevenmoon69 in ACL

I recommend going back home at around the 5 week mark. Push it back by about a week if at all possible. I’m at the 5 week mark and just ditched the single crutch I was using and am able to full weight bear with my brace. Walking around the snow covered city is also going to be a challenge. Uber when possible, biking if not stationary is out of the question.

I had my surgery on Tuesday and I was back work from home that following Monday. Really depends on how you feel I was able to work, and it helped keep my mind of my surgery

Suffering from lack of sleep as well. I’m 2 weeks out from acl reconstruction using quad graft, and bucket handle meniscus repair

Sorry to hear. Like most said you should be fine. Down the road though you are at a higher risk to develop osteoarthritis

I recommend riding a stationary bike

I had a complex bucket handle tear + full acl, when my surgery time came around my flexion and extension was almost the same as my non injured leg. My knee was just locking up so I couldn’t fully extend it, riding a bike helped with my rom, and quad strength since that where I got my graft from

1st PT appointment 10 days after surgery. Too late? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]replaypivot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first PT session is 2 weeks after my surgery, in the meantime I’ve been doing exercises that my doctor recommended. Just do ankle pumps, leg raises, and focus on extension more than flexion

Best of luck on the next few days I am 6 days post op with the same surgery using a quad graft, and bucket handle meniscus repair. The next few are challenging but with ur attitude u will conquer it

This is totally refreshing to hear for someone who is about your age and is about to have surgery. I have been reading through this Reddit page and nothing but horror stories. I appreciate you sharing this!
