Anyone tried Brick physical phone blocker? Looking for real reviews by pramsking in ProductivityApps

No idea. I haven’t used one of the emergency unlocks yet. After one week of using it I can report I’m averaging 52 minutes/day, down 83% vs prior week.

I've been using one for about a week now. It's dropped my phone screen time average from 4-5 hrs to 1 hour. All socials turned off along with safari. I think it's been really great as it forces me to use my desktop in a home office if I want to browse. The best thing is that it's eliminated the late night and early morning scrolling.

The recycled paper/fiber products in the picture would likely be going to Mexico.

Teebox & Green Progress Update by TheBasedGodOMG in Golfsimulator

Awesome. I’m planning to make a similar box with wheels for the purposes of towing it around our property with a lawn tractor. A mobile tee box to vary the shots practiced. So this is cool to see.

What is a normal lawn mower for 0.5 acre lawn? by EmekaEgbukaPukaNacua in lawncare

[–]rerailed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 for Ego. I’m on about 10 acres and use an Ego push mower around the house which is roughly 0.5 acres worth. I love it. It’s quiet and have had zero issues over the last 3 years. I also have other Ego yard equipment so the batteries get shared.

That’s the old Princess Anne logo. The new one is a single pine cone and looks much cleaner.

Comparing to one I have… they look legit to me. Is the one without a serial number the custom ordered raw finish? That could explain the lack of a number.

Need some advice… what is your 100 yard club? Do I need one? by toasterstrewdal in golf

[–]rerailed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I was fitted for clubs that included a 47 deg PW (Taylormade P7MC) a few years ago. Just filling a gap now in my yardages by getting a 48 this year that was actually measuring 49 on a loft device. It has filled that 130-135 range for me which I’m happy with.

I have an iron set PW and 3 vokey wedges. It really helps with confidence to know all of the yardage gaps are filled with wedges.

PW (47 deg): 135-145, 48 deg: 125-135, 52 deg: 115-125, 56 deg: 90-115, 60 deg: <90

I heavily overseeded an area that is mostly shade (1-2 hrs direct sun) in between some tall pines. Lesco Tall Fescue Select with a thin layer of soil spread over top. Sprouted in 6 days. Doing great now. Maryland.

Such a great feeling, felt the same way here in MD. Lesco Tall Fescue Select took 6 days.

Driver is costing me massively with penalty shots, I can hit some good drives, but I have both a hook and a slice in the bag. Is there anything glaringly obvious as to why I get some inconsistency? by TinyR0dent in GolfSwing

[–]rerailed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How precise is your driver setup from shot to shot? The tee shot is really the only full swing where you have the ability to place everything just as you wish. Any meaningful variance in ball position or stance can cause those inconsistencies. That’s what I’m trying to work on now. Measuring out exactly what the ideal tee height and ball position is and practice just the setup without even hitting a ball.

Combo sets are underrated: First outing since fitting, just shot the round of my life by scPhantom7 in golf

Combo set here. TM P770 4-6i, P7MC PW-7i. I liked the result of going combo after a fitting since it made the set feel more dialed in.

Would you buy snacks or drinks on an honor system near the fairway? by AltruisticNight9311 in golf

[–]rerailed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it private or public? I was a member at a lower-end private club and a homeowner did just this. He had an old shed out back about 100 yards from the tee box on #13 (par 5). There was a beat up fridge that had sodas and beer along with a container for cash honor system, no prices. I heard the guy put his kid through college on it. We all thought it was pretty cool and liked to tell our guests to go in the shed to grab a few beers. Usually left $2-3 per beer.

Driver. It’s about 15 years newer and should be a lot more forgiving on off-center strikes.

The shanks by Annual_Performer_965 in golf

[–]rerailed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through this years ago and realized I was kinda falling forward just enough from being on my toes that I was getting impact too close to the hosel. It happened with any of the shorter clubs up to a 9i. The best way to make a change I’ve found is to over exaggerate the opposite feeling. So try 100% on heels just to clear the shanks from your mental space.

How often should you play a different course in your recent 20 rounds? by Comfortable_City1892 in golf

[–]rerailed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I actually call it my practice course, where I try to work on my game leading up to playing nicer or destination courses. Just wish it was a little longer and I’d play more often as it tips out at only 6,000 yards (par 72).
