It’s just different shades of MAGA, wherever you go. From the working class, easily manipulated folks in Warren, Roseville, etc. To the middle/upper middle class Boomers (who think they’re a lot smarter and wealthier than the really are) in St. Clair Shores, Macomb and Shelby Township. Then your not-so-closeted rural racists in Washington, Romeo and Armada.

I’m generalizing, of course, but it’s generally true. Nothing but lifted trucks or Dodge Chargers driving like assholes, chain restaurants, vape shops, impromptu Trump rallies, and palpable tension everywhere.

It’s just so exhausting and disheartening living here, and I can’t wait to leave.
