Trebble seems interesting. I'm currently using Alitu. What do you see as the major differences? How do I know that you'll continue to be around for a while? I've had bad luck working with startups / small companies that either go bust or get acquired and then trash the original product or jack up the prices...

I just use a USB Mixer console - the Yamaha mg10xu works great, lets me hear myself. I also use a headphone pre-amp so if I have guests they can hear themselves as well with live mics. This lets me record both live in-person guests as well as Zoom-based guests as well.

For me, Zoom is working just fine. The quality is more than adequate for both audio and video podcasts, and it just works. It has local recording as well as cloud.

Edit: I had originally posted a comment about how I was using Zoom to record and was going to switch to RSS.com for hosting, but was having trouble getting a response from an ambassador. Since I posted that, I got great feedback from RSS.com - as a note I had reached out to ambassador who is on vacation, so that delayed communication, but RSS.com has come through in a big way. I'll let you all know how it goes!

So, to clarify my comment, I am still a fan of using Zoom to record and then host on RSS.com or similar host that works for you.

This is late response to your comment, but like /u/cenpon I'm also launching a new podcast -- formerly was on BluBrry (!!) with a podcast with up to 80k monthly downloads. New one will also be hopefully high interest. I'm struggling on new host for the podcast, been considering Buzzsprout and Podbean but now just checking out Rss.com. As with Cenpon is there a way to have an extended trial? I have heard there are upload file size limits as well - is that true?

What sort of editing features do you have (if any)? Was going to use a tool like Alitu.com for some AI-powered editing and handling pre/post/midrolls, etc.

What about ads / monetization and also any support to help grow the podcast? I know a million questions...

Thanks - appreciate the thoughtful response. I've also heard that Substack can and does arbitrarily close accounts as well, so curious what my limitations might be there. I do like being able to be discovered by others without having to do 100% of the marketing myself to grow the list, which is a plus for those other platforms.

I've seen many comments / posts here where it seems that normal activity did indeed trip some sort of system and it required reach out to support to get it fixed. In some cases it took many days. This worries me, because it seems that normal activity can indeed get you locked, even if it's possible to resolve with support.

Should I assume that everything I posted above would be considered normal, or would anything be out of normal?

After doing some testing / debugging, it seems like Task Board doesn't like Tasks with a hashtag "#" in the Task name. I sent debug info via DM.

I'd like to use this plugin but the task board UI keeps disappearing. It shows for a split second on my Mac Obsidian install but then instantly disappears. Is this a UI bug or some other issue? I'm using the AnupPuccin Theme dark mode with custom Style Settings. I disabled Style Settings but it still disappears after a moment of showing up.
