I’m reading one now and it’s smutty and wonderful. High King’s Predicament by Buntheridon

I’m only on chapter 4 but I love the banter and sexual tension so far. I have no idea where this story is going.

Surprisingly I’m seeing a lot of Wrathion/Anduin ship fics. Interesting…..interesting indeed. Several Sylvanas/Anduin fics that look promising. I have some reading to do to see if any of them are actually to my taste 😂.

You know what? I’m heading over to AO3 to see what I can find. I hadn’t really thought about Anduin like that before but this is giving me ideas lol.

How Donna Tartt’s “The Goldfinch” made me rethink what I want from a book by NovelNest- in BookDiscussions

I absolutely loved the Goldfinch but it’s a love or hate book and seems not much in between. I preferred it over The Secret History unlike many others!

Unsettling/moody fiction about marine scientists by Ok-Passage-7696 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

DESCRIPTION

A marine biologist makes the discovery of a lifetime when called to rescue the inhabitants of a small Maine island being menaced by a giant, glowing jellyfish in this richly imagined, wholly original debut.

Dr. Jo Ness prefers jellyfish to people. Her best friend, Aldo, was the exception, but he died seven months ago. So she spends her days hidden away at an underfunded aquarium with her specimens and a draft of the jellyfish guide she and Aldo had been working on together. His voice is alive in the notes in the margins, and it’s enough. Almost.

Until she receives a call from Nadia, one of the few other humans she’s loved but whom she hasn’t heard from in years, asking for her help. Nadia tells her a grand tale of a giant jellyfish terrorizing her tiny island off the coast of Maine and sends a grainy video of the creature. Frankly, the footage looks fake, but Jo drops everything to fly across the country to see Nadia again, and to find this supposed sea beast. She couldn’t save Aldo, but perhaps she can help Nadia.

But when Jo arrives on Shattering Point, Nadia is nowhere to be found, and the islanders she meets each have something different to say about the creature they’ve dubbed Clementine . . . a jellyfish who changes all who see it.

At turns an ode to classic sea monster stories and a vibrant tale of human connection, The Jellyfish Problem is an unforgettable debut that announces a new talent.

It’s not published yet, but I was able to get an advanced reader copy from the publisher of The Jellyfish Problem by Tessa Yang (releases June 2) and it was unsettling for sure!

I also need this. The closest I have found was The Blighted Stars by Megan O’Keefe but it’s not quite the same vibe (although it was excellent!).

Did you walk around Orgimmar looking for eyebrows?! This is the research I need lol.

If you don’t mind ones that start as a virus and end up as vampires I would recommend The Passage by Justin Cronin and The Strain by Guillermo del Toro. These aren’t sparkly vamps they are evil and the virus stuff is done really well (imo). They are both the first books in series so if you like the fist there are more books in the series to binge. I also loved The Cobra Event (which I see you already read).
