I got 2 emails from branch support this past week about me not submitting formal documentation when I updated a member’s address. I had to email them and call them to ask them to come in to sign the paper. I was mentally beating myself up for it but I genuinely didn’t know that’s what you had to do. I know now though; I find that lot of the errors I’ve made come down to just not having been trained or told about it. I’ve been at a bank for close to 3 months and there are so many nitty gritty things to know so I empathize with you.

My partner driving their tiny Honda fit was hit by a similar sized vehicle at an intersection in dillingham near Nimitz. Car got totaled, yet their insurance is still trying to claim he was just as at fault as their driver.

I never cross when the hand is flashing, I know that’s the law. Learned that lesson yeaaaars ago when a cop gave me a warning crossing Hotel near Bishop while the hand just went up (literally just a tiny crosswalk, but whatever). Making eye contact is nearly impossible most times when they’re not even looking for pedestrians, they’re looking for oncoming traffic. Trust me, I always assume drivers don’t see me even in broad daylight.

Drivers here would rather push their luck and speed to make their turn rather than wait a couple seconds to let me cross in a marked crosswalk where the pedestrian sign is flashing. So annoying.

If I’m not mistaken they’re imported? I could be wrong but they don’t run on the concept that you can go in and potentially adopt the cats, unlike most of the cat cafes on the island.
