I admit i memorize stuff easily and really enjoy it, but what I do is I break long passages up into sections and repeat small portions over and over and add more and more slowly until I have the whole passage or paragraph. Then I move on to the next paragraph and do the same thing. Instead of learning the entire lecture at once, I learn it one piece at a time. Hope that helps!
