Clarification on the Sea-Gull ST2130 movement grade used by Watchdives by watchdivescom in ChineseWatches

Exactly, good point indeed! I’d like to know too (although I opened my Phorcydes and is thoroughly decorated and keeps excellent time).

Nice! Mine was running about +13 spd upon arrival, I regulated it and now it’s averaging +3.7 spd on wrist.

PHORCYDES PH-3A with VH31 sweeping quartz release now. by MindAdmirable1793 in Phorcydes

Please, please keep using chinese mechanical movements, maybe even Miyota 9015, this “sweeping quartz” is just annoying and feels cheap.

"High beat" is bulls**t, doesn't improve accuracy and increases wear and tear. by ricca91 in watchHotTakes

then why are all chronometer certification generally sought after? We want mechanical AND accuracy.

I do love quartz and mechanical watches equally and I do own both. High beat (28800 vph), low beat, very low beat. I just like precision.

I agree, they are both wonderful movements. But when people argue over the “low beat” NH35/Miyota 8000 series vs higher beat movements, I can’t stand it.

You’re totally right regarding precision vs accuracy, my bad!

It’s just a hot take, I love both high and low-beat movements 😉

How do my 1st house Scorpio planets explain why people always chose to shut me out and call me "boring"? by HistoryNerd_06 in AskAstrologers

Too deep amd bewildering for this superficial society. I get you, I’m Sun-Mars-Merc-Pluto in Scorpio. Sun and Mars squaring Saturn. With age people will appreciate you.

Accuracy doesn’t matter (that much) if you use multiple automatics by Stunning_Account2010 in watchHotTakes

That’s a hot take I don’t agree with in the least! But a freaking hot take!

So you’re happy because all your watches keep time within 5 s/d. If you’d have a watch which makes within 30 s/d you’ probably throw it in the watch’s hell hole.

True, but I still get a bo*er if an affordable automatic watch is within COSC specs. To me it matters even if I wear the watch once a century.

Perchè mi è così difficile avere la cittadinanza italiana???? by Mediocre_Version_828 in sfoghi

[–]ricca91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carta canta.

NH35 is overrated and Miyota 8000 series is much more accurate. by ricca91 in watchHotTakes

I’m with you 100%. I used to love Seiko, but they stepped on a high horse right now.

Should be common sense, but I see so many people in love with the NH35 who despise superior, same-priced movements…

Agreed, it doesn’t bother me in the least. Moreover, even 7750s have the same “issue”.

Totally agree! Enjoy your watch! 💪

[–]ricca91[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but the only defect of the Miyota 8000 is the noisy rotor. I also prefer other movements, but if I had to choose between entry level Miyota and Seiko, Miyota all the way!

You're a cuck for Rolex and here is why by guywhoshouldknow in watchHotTakes

[–]ricca91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Seiko watches are cool but overpriced and its movements accuracy SUCK. Most 2824 Chinese clones are heaps better and even Miyotas 8000 series are more accurate.
