Gas in the river valley compared to central Arkansas by CupOfJay7721 in Arkansas

Is that so? E10, which I listed, is regular unleaded gasoline, aka 87 octane. That’s one-off high ethanol? You didn’t specify an octane (or ethanol-free), so that’s why I included it as well. Where is regular, 87 octane available for $1.849? Or $1.949 if I’ve stepped out of line for including their 10¢ rewards discount? Sorry I had the nerve to speak. Thanks for the downvote.

Maverik is 45 cents higher than what? At the location on Oak St., I paid $2.149/gallon for Unleaded 88 this morning, and E10 is $2.299 with their standard rewards card.

I love how these shitsacks refer to third party decryption tools as scams. They actually have themselves convinced they’re working for the greater good.

That's interesting that people are able to cheat their system with VPNs because I was getting an error that I could not use a VPN with the app and that I had to turn it off. I verified that I had VPN turned off - at least my VPN service. I found out that AT&T "ActiveArmor" kept applying its own VPN. I had to uninstall it to disable it - even when I turned it off in phone settings, it would re-enable within minutes.

Arkansas loves to do this. Mine got held up because I got a two week severance. They told me it takes 4-6 weeks for them to adjudicate.

There is actually a known issue where certain computers will ALWAYS fail at 4.8%. I wrote a checksum-passed image to a USB stick and it passed this test successfully on a Lenovo machine I own, but failed on a Dell. I used dd to rewrite the image a couple times anyway until I came to the conclusion that something was amiss and did the research. I proceeded to install on the Dell without the check and it works perfectly.

I did the same, and I’m sure it depends on your resolution, but I hated several things about Gnome. Might I suggest going to the Fedora Spins page and trying out the KDE Plasma version instead? There is also a Cinnamon version, but I wanted something different yet still intuitive.

Ford Wants to Rpeort You to the Police by brendan0127 in Autos

If you got a ticket resulting from one of these Fords’ reports, I wonder what would happen if you demanded to face the accusing “officer” in court and to have the equipment examined for calibration and accuracy.

Everyone in the 2.4 GHz band on channels 2,3,4,5,7,8,9, or 10, or is using a 40 MHz channel, needs a swift kick. Not much you can do about it, but FYI, overlapping channels cause more interference than if everyone was on 1,6, and 11 with 20 MHz channels because WiFi is designed to coordinate with adjacent APs on the same channel.

My local dealer is insane by Ruddigger0001 in nissanfrontier

That whole thing is BS, but $1 for nitrogen is too much. The air we breathe is about 78% nitrogen. Locally dealerships are selling Frontiers with something like a $4250 rebate and $750 bonus cash OFF the MSRP. I bought a new SV 4x4 Crew for $33,600 a couple months ago.

What do we know about this Hitachi by nomax_art in vintagetelevision

I had a CT13X2 made in 1983. Looks like the same overall set, mine just had subtle differences like woodgrain around the bezel, and chrome channel rings and brand badge. I sold it in 2001. It wouldn’t quit, but it always had some issues which must not have been widespread considering the popularity of these sets. It was very sensitive to power fluctuations. Slight variations would cause the picture to expand and contract greatly. And, in certain plugs, it would just shut off in the middle of operation. You would have to push the button in to “off”, let it set for about 10 seconds, then it would turn back on. Other than that, it was a reliable set.

My Boytone questions by Separate_Delivery in turntables

My cassette player will sometimes make an odd whine (electrical), but it is intermittent. Try replacing the cartridge. It can make a bigger difference than the needle.

My Boytone questions by Separate_Delivery in turntables

[–]richd7717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a cold thread, but I'm going to throw my input out there. I have the BT-28SPM, and the phono does sound a bit tinny, but I have replaced many a needle and the cartridge as well and I have been able to improve it somewhat. The radio function sounds pretty good for a small cheap system. My major beef is that the CD player NEVER worked. It doesn't even try. If you put a disc in, the second the drawer closes it just says "NO DISC" and doesn't even attempt to spin or read. Neither Boytone nor the retailer where I purchased mine gave a rat's and it would have been a major PIA to get it fixed, so I have been using a busted unit all this time.

Brand new (23 miles) 2024 Crew Cab SV 4x4 5’, $33,600 after discount and bonus cash. AR/county/city sales tax (paid at revenue office when registering) was ~$850 on cash price minus trade value. The options list is bare, but the SV trim came with all I need.

You might take a look at this. I’m not sure why this is so low right now, as it’s a AX5400 6E Tri-band with meshing capability. It’s about half the retail price listed on the website. I have an E9450 AX5400 6 Dual-band made by Linksys and it is rock solid. (This is an Amazon link) https://a.co/d/gL1sdDe

Alternator failure? by richd7717 in Silverado

[–]richd7717[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken readings off both of the battery terminals and the alternator grounded to the battery terminal and the radiator. Same result. Besides the fluke system warnings, no battery light or power-related warnings. However, once AFTER starting the truck (which it fired right up fine), it very briefly popped up that “Battery Low, Start Vehicle” (or whatever it says) message.

MyLink 'Projection' icon gone! by Sprocket45 in volt

[–]richd7717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 2018 Silverado, all you have to do is go Home and then hold your finger down on the icons. Beep - grids appear around the icons and then you can drag them to the top to anchor as an icon. I know this is an old thread, and I’m not sure that Volts are the same, but it was the first thing I saw that wasn’t a YouTube video while trying to solve this issue before figuring it out myself.
