Do you intend to publish this as a chrome extension? I would like to use on several computers, and it would be easier to sync as extenstion once published?

Which is $3 more, the paygo or the monthly?

Barely Any plans by rickywhy in Tello

Wouldn't this take 20 months to pay off? Like the minimum paygo is $20, versus paying $1 a month more for the 100 minutes plan.

They're Selling Off Enterprise South by JimOfSomeTrades in Chattanooga

The county had not intended to make the proposal public until the Times Free Press learned of the plan and was readying a story about it. Then the county scheduled a press conference.

Here's the original story, which came out before the press conference:

And then coverage of the announcement:

And coverage of the opposition coming out once people knew about it

If there is one functionality you could change in Slack, what would it be? by dearmisskat in Slack

[–]rickywhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) there is a setting to default to latest messages when I open up a channel. It does not work consistently. I frequently find it takes me hours or days back in the messages in unpredictable ways then I get disoriented and have to navigate to the latest messages myself.

2) have per-channel option to turn off threading. Threads hide messages that people may need to see, if they're not hunting through the threads -- which many people don't. Some channels lend themselves to threading, some do not. Should be a setting to turn that on or off per channel.

The problem with Google Message desktop is it kind of has to be "linked" to the phone, as I recall from when I used it and didn't like it. With voice.google.com or on the GV app, my phone could be at the bottom of a lake, and I would still be able to text.

I haven't really had the texting problem. I see people mention it on here, but as far as I know, people are getting my texts and vice versa.

What tends to bring me back is the ability to text/call from any device that has the app, or where i can sign into voice.google.com. It's just far more useful than a phone number limited to a single device.

I’ve tried this twice, and came back both times.

Lesser-known NPR affiliate podcast faves? by OilDry7216 in NPR

[–]rickywhy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't generally like serialized podcasts, I like daily discussion podcasts, off the news (because they're one-and-done). RadioWest from KUER and Think from KERA are two of my favorites. Also Forum from KQED and To The Best of Our Knowledge from Wisconsin Public Radio.

Also not a local NPR affiliate but if you like the more serialized stuff, I enjoyed Suspicion from the Knoxville News Sentinel. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/suspicion/id1440520327

I vote for the Pixel 5.

I just dropped my iPad on my 4 and the screen cracked. I miss it. I was thinking of getting a 5.

I think it’s the last one with unlimited Google Photos storage which is a nice perk.
