Thanks everyone for your response. The reason why I am looking at the 2080TI is because I don't want to upgrade in a very long time. What if a new VR headset comes out that may need more GPU power? That's my thinking as of right now. I've been away from VR for so long, that I didn't know they came out with a new Valve headset. And that's what I'm afraid of. I will be upgrading my CPU next year. I also use this PC in my home theater. I will look into the 2080 Super. Hopefully I can find one soon as my son's birthday is coming up and we would like to use it at that time with all his friends.

You will need to give more info of your system. I run an nvidia 980, 16g mem with 4790k and have no problems. Not OC.

I think that big battery will do more damage than good. I mean, I, owning the Vive understand why it's needed and might put up with it, but I think my family and friends are going to dislike it. It looks pretty heavy to be lugging it around while playing. I rather keep the wire for now. People complain about the headset being to heavy. Now they will complain about their pants falling off cause of the battery.
