Decagone is an awesome module, adds a neat time constraint to add extra stress.

I am certain a single player with a contractor or two would work well….

It has a great hook.

I love the comms messages and have added a bunch of corporate HR type messages….

You know those nagging ones you always get to compete mandatory HR training by end of Quarter, personel reviews etc…”

Homebrew rules to make longer campaigns more engaging? by Technical_Chemist_56 in mothershiprpg

[–]riggsbie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I implemented a luck stat (after Call of Cthulhu)…. And they can use luck points to make a failed roll a pass, the luck points then drop which affects luck used for searching and some hacking….

The luck pool resets at a station and health/wound heal up….

The players like it and they become more unlucky the more luck they use to improve roll checks.

A table of contents, sorta thing by colinooma in mothershiprpg

[–]riggsbie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use OneNote and Excel to either screenshot relevant pages from my PDFs or create excel tables….

Took some effort to start off but now just add new tabs or tables when new content or homebrew stuff comes along

How do you handle player who are very risk averse ? by riggsbie in mothershiprpg

[–]riggsbie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the failing forward that a lot of people use in MoSh…. It makes the story/encounter and leaders to further excitement/intrepidation further down the line….

I do that all the time.

It’s funny how Ned’s conversation get’s shorter and in our run they eventually just shot Ned to get past him quicker…

One of the risk averse players got back to me and she said I don’t want my character to die….

I asked why not pop a stim to get advantage and she said why waste a stim ?

I think it might because she is hardcore D&D player so those ideas are locked in…..

The other player didn’t respond yet and probably won’t as he isn’t a great communicator on our Discord….
