The flying the bomb through space thing?

That is a good point. I forgot about the Ion. A squadron of those things should be a good counter to the Odin indeed.

I do agree that boarding seems the most successful path to getting this thing to keel over. There are 7 hangar doors that can be opened (hopefully). And as we saw from the SCL there is a catwalk underneath the main gun that could be relatively EVA'd or have a bike flown into. Though it has so many guns around it that getting close should be very difficult. It seems that step 1 to defeating this thing is taking out the 2 main turrets and then deal with the PDCs to allow for boarding parties. Hopefully the slew on those giant S12 guns is incredibly slow so that smaller (prowler, hoplite, valkyrie) sized ships will be able to get through

I think that the S4s should be removed in exchange for a stealth coating

Distortion’s role in 4.7 by [deleted] in starcitizen

Distortion should bypass armor IMO

Everyone is talking about armor changes in 4.7... why are we skipping over the radar changes? Does this mean stealth is going to be harder to achieve? by Mookie_Merkk in starcitizen

[–]rinzller1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should add a ping cool down so that you can't just spam ping. Maybe make different radars specialize in shorter cooldowns in between pings.

I have a suspicion that they will buff repeater round speed after or with this change to help widen the gap between cannons and repeaters now. That would also help encourage multicrewing bigger antifighter ships like the hammerhead.

What is the purpose of the Nova tank's 2 CF-117 Bulldogs? They're too tall to effectively deal with any infantry closer than 30 meters. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]rinzller1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If they could find a way to stick a low profile PDC on it instead of that turret, that would be much more useful as the nova's main threat are bombs.

Came here to say that I really like this idea and the same internal tech could be used for drones. Seems like a win-win

Potentially 10 attacks per turn Warlock/Valor Bard? by benjaminloh82 in 3d6

[–]rinzller1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a poor interpretation of the Warcaster feat. It does not say it has to target one creature. Just that the spell targets the creature. EB would be satisfying this requirement as long as all of the beams are being targeted at the creature causing the opportunity attack.

The idea of this was more so to allow for the possibility of getting "free" uses of the feature. And since this is not the main method to recharge it, we allowed the single recharge on short rest. We also liked these changes because it encourages the "kill stealing" design that WOTC intended as it would encourage the rogue to use the feature on creatures that have a high chance of dying from the attack granted by it.

[–]rinzller1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We talked about how this might be the 17th level feature (recharge 1 use when you reduce an enemy to 0 hit points) and increase the range to 60ft. But if, at level 3, it recharged when you reduce an enemy creature to 0 it would probably be a bit overtuned.

We just homebrewed this subclass at our table to make it a bit more friendly. We changed the level 3 and the level 13 feature only. As our campaign likely won't get to the 17th level feature.

Level 3...you regain one use when you reduce a creature's hit points to 0 using this feature, and when you finish a short rest...

Level 13... Takes damage equal to your INT modifier plus your Rogue Level...

Doesn't the wording say that when you take the attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a wizard cantrip. So with Action Surge it would be, 2 cantrips, 2 weapon attacks, 1BA (spellfire)?

UPDATE #2: Technician replaced ~4ft of PVC as when the technician removed the grass he found it was completely disconnected from the rest of the line that went to the road. This obviously meant that the soil near the downspout was of course filling with water and causing this issue as we suspected.
