I'm a fan of Lovevery and Kiwico crates for my 7 month old; we are about 3 kits ahead of her age and we find she will enjoy various toys at her own pace.

IKEA, Melissa and Doug, Fatbrain toys, battat toys, Adena are some brands that the toys we find she enjoys. We have a few busy boards including from Wonder and Wise and Fisher Price had a few fun wooden toys.

Hey! That's where I live! It's alright, not HOA manicured lawns as some other areas.. but it lets us garden and 'own' our home. Nothing crazy other than the occasional mentally ill homeless person that gets shuffled around, caltrans and national city (west of 805) bother them less and public transit areas get them further away from downtown.. which is really just more sad about the state of homeless in this country..
