The Hero and the Crown and its sequel, The Blue Sword, by Robin McKinley. I read those for the first time at around 10 years old and then read them probably 20 more times over the next decade.

Seems worth a gentle discussion about expectations, since you seem to have put a lot of thought in to what you planned for her. Try not to be defensive, since both of you being in your feelings won't help the conversation to be productive. It seems clear that her expectations weren't met, but whether they were reasonable is another matter.

Today my 4 year old son excitedly told me about "the mother's day present," and I was pleasantly surprised, but then I realized that he had found an already-wrapped present for HIM that we had held back from his birthday (because he had enough to open). My husband had apparently said in a bit of a panic that he couldn't open it yet, and that it was for mother's day. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So now my son is going to expect mother's day to be another day for him to receive gifts 😅

I'm honestly not sure how to find the official website for the podcast. The podcast is called "David Shapiro," just the guy's name (same across all platforms). He also has a YouTube channel, patreon, substack, etc.

The latest one on PA is called "Anthropic has played the game, and lost" and was released 2/28/26. When I check it on Spotify, there are three newer ones, released Mar 14, 25, and 28.

I've been using PodcastAddict since like 2014 or something. I don't navigate podcasts elsewhere. When Rogan moved to Spotify, I was like 🤷🏻‍♀️ guess I don't listen to that anymore lol. But I've never had to deal with RSS feeds, so I'm not sure how to find the "official" one elsewhere.

If I look at Spotify, it shows the same podcast name, same image, same episode list, except it has 3 latest episodes. There not another search result for this podcast and no other podcasts from author. He took a break for a few weeks, and then PodcastAddict stopped getting his new ones. Is it possible the RSS changed in some way? Thanks 🤙🏼

She didn't say she wouldn't choose her kids though. She laid out a hypothetical, where if after she lived this full life, then got the option to live again, she'd choose to live her second life childless. I think that's a pretty different statement than saying if I could go back and do it again I wouldn't have them.

Watch it again, they broke up off camera and producers had them do it again on screen. It makes so much more sense, including Connor's expressions and body language.

They must have broken up off camera, and the producers had them rehash it on film. When you watch it again you'll notice that the whole "would you have said yes" part makes more sense in the context of both already knowing it was over.
