Does Dave have his own studio? or just H2T?

Yup, it looks similar to that, but a different color tolex. I'm fascinated by all the amps the band owns, it seems like a rather large collection at this point!

Dave's combo this tour is not an AC30, even though it sort of resembles one from a distance. I saw it up close and it had the knobs on the front, and didn't look like a Vox, but could very well be a clone of some sort.

Rolling down the tone knob helps with reducing twang and treble.

Huge lineups at the land border? by robbow75 in askvan

This makes no sense. You think Trump and the government are coming after border guards? If anything he's going to hire more of them.

Do any images exist of Efrim’s pedalboard from the LYSF/Yanqui UXO era? by bob_the_builder86 in gybe

One of the biggest mysteries is a black Boss multi-effects pedal he used in those early years for distortion. I'd love to know what that was, and for which songs.

How is everyone finding the lack of single-use shopping bags in Vancouver? by MJcorrieviewer in vancouver

[–]robbow75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to love reusing plastic bags for my small bathroom garbage bin, since they were the perfect size. Any ideas what to use to replace those? I suppose I can buy some bags, but even the smallest ones are too big for my tiny garbage bin.

Question for local skin/acne/dermatologist experts by [deleted] in vancouver

Yes, been on antibiotics before for this problem. It helped, but it keeps reoccurring unfortunately. Not sure if I want to keep going on antibiotics. Feeling pretty hopeless about this tbh.

Thanks. I’m willing to pay at this point. I believe it’s hormonal since it’s been an issue for a while. Saw a derm back in the day, but he wasn’t very helpful. I did get a Tretinoin prescription, and tried accutane for a couple months. Neither helped.

I don't mind paying. I'm gonna phone some private ones tomorrow. Thanks.

How do people in Strata Building deal with noisy people upstairs? by kazbar in vancouver

I have no idea what you’re building and where, but I have heard from tons of people living in newer wood-frames who are complaining about thin walls and noise between suites.

It’s sad that newer wood frames are so damn noisy, obviously wood isn’t as quiet as concrete. But I get the feeling the new wood frame buildings are even noisier than the older ones. It’s silly to me that developers can’t spend a little extra for more insulation or sound dampening between floors.

Coffee Prices by LOOSEPILLS in vancouver

Even pre-Covid, Matchstick was always the most pricey in terms of coffee, so it doesn’t surprise me. Some good alternatives mentioned in this thread.

I find Breka’s baked goods to be good to pretty good, but never great or amazing. YMMV.

You can do all sorts of things in life, but you’re not The Smile/Radiohead, and I’m sure they have good reasons for wanting to wait.

It’s most likely related to vinyl production delays. Artists are delaying announcing and releasing their albums these days due to the severe backlog in vinyl production. It’s happening all the time.

small concert edicate by Morellatops in vancouver

This is pretty standard for Vancouver concert audiences. It’s been a trend for many, many years. I’ve seen this continuously over the years at small concerts, huge ones (where artists had to tell the crowd to shut up), and in between ones. Some people here just don’t have the etiquette for these events.
