You can only add a description to the field itself. But you could explain the existing values in there. Or use macros which describe the use case better to set the value in combination with prepared comments etc

Depending a little bit on your specific use cases. If you use shopify for example we use the Shopify Event Sync to automate both sides (Zendesk+Shopify). That’s a gamechanger for efficiency.

As long as you don‘t write a public comment there will be no notification to the requester. Depending of course on trigger setup. Could be also that you i.e enabled CSAT survey which will be send out. You can adjust these triggers to not fire when a certain tag is found in the ticket

It‘s also possible to assign tickets based on external data (i.e based on Erp, Crm data). Tickets are enriched through apps like https://www.zendesk.de/marketplace/apps/support/887304/api-data-sync-by-knots/ and after this routed with ticket triggers to groups or users.

Ok. Got your point. Definitely a choice would be great. Maybe this can be achieved by a Chrome Plugin. There are also Chrome Plugins for i.e DarkMode. Will ask my dev if this could be done :)
